Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

They are amazing! We had a huge group of students, and they were so accommodating(even when we were late)! Our group had so much fun, saw many animals on the reef, and the captains and mates took great care of us. The staff in the dove shop were amazing as well! Highly recommended for an unforgettable experience!

We had a nice diving experience with Ocean Divers and Rainbow reef divers exploring the Spiegel Grove. The Charter staff were professional and very helpful n this occasion. We cannot wait to go diving with them again on our future dives. Brett Galambos and Joyce

I have dove with Ocean divers for 30 years. When the Captain Crunch couldn’t get it’s engine started, I was the one who used my dive knife to jump the starter to get us in.
That was before the Captain Crunch sank out on Molassas Reef obviously.
Now, one of their captains, made the decision to anchor their boat on top of my fishing boats anchor ball and drop his dive ladder onto my anchor. Divers were put into the water with my chum bag while we were fishing which is not the safest thing to do.
Besides ruining our fishing spot that we had been on for a couple of hours, we had to deal with divers underneath our boat. They could have been caught by our fishing lines. One snorkeler reported seeing sharks. It’s not safe to put snorkelers and divers into a fishing boats chum line and fishing lines. It’s unethcal, unsafe, and showed poor judgement no matter how badly the Ocean Divers captain wanted to take the fishing boats spot.
The Coast Guard licenses captains and educates them making a course and exam to train and certify them. Ocean Divers needs to be careful what captains they hire and promote safety so divers are not injured.
I would not dive with this operation.

Do NOT book with these guys. They are NOT safe. They have no concern for the safety of their divers or snorkelers.
We were fishing on Pickles Reef off of Key Largo tied up to an anchor ball when Tropical Serenity anchored literally 20 feet in front of us. They had to shorten their safety ball in order not to get tangled in our line attached to the anchor ball. They let their divers sit under our engines and chum bag. Snorkelers were all around our boat. This is NOT safe. We could have hooked one of their divers and/or chopped one up if we started our engines.
The law is to keep 300 feet away from a boat displaying a dive flag. They parked about 20 feet from us. Do NOT dive with these guys. They are an accident waiting to happen. There are plenty of other places this boat could have gone. Stay away from this operation.
[I would love to post a video to show you exactly how close they came to our boat, but apparently this site only takes stills].

Booked a bunch of dives about 6 weeks prior to our trip, but only a few days before the merger. A few days before we were to arrive was informed they no longer do night dives on the days we booked. Not impressed with such late notice, we scrambled to find another operator. We did end up doing a night dive with them later in the week and glad we did, though that was due more to the location (Molasses Reef) than the dive shop - The boat held about 10-15 divers (and could accommodate more), so this is not an intimate experience.
To their credit, they split the group among 2 dive masters, so we were with only about 4 others most of the dive. Also, the captains safety briefing and the briefing about the dive were good.
Perhaps this was just a result of the normal problems inherent to business mergers.

Rainbow Reef was an excellent experience from every aspect. The dive boats were in very good condition, the staff very upbeat and friendly, the level of safety off the charts, and the dive sites couldn't have been better! I highly recommend this operation to all level of divers.

Phillip, Dani Logan and Lou were amazing for both our dives as well as our captains. They hooked up all the gear and also took care of all the gear afterwards. They also served as a guide if you wanted or you could go on your own. They were also very meticulous about making sure everyone was back on board

Came from Tampa with my instructor to complete my open water cert dives. Travis, Dani C. and Mica were fantastic. It's easy to tell they know what they are doing. Had a great time. Lots of smiles and laughs.

We did two reefs dives with them today. The experience was excellent. Capt Tom runs a safe and tight ship and Lou and Dani were wonderful. We did not have our gear and the rented gear was top notch. Dani was a very good dive guide. The reef here is beatiful. Can't wait to be back and would hope for the same crew.

Divers may start at 10yoa with restrictions. Contact them directly to find out the details and use the Padi website for certification
requirements. My daughter started the Seals program in PA bit I would highly recommend the crew at Ocean Divers

Hi! If I'm trying to get PADI over water certification and will have completed the online and pool training in Washington DC would I be able to complete the 4 training dives (through referral) at your facility? Trying to plan a trip for April this year with about 3 other women that would be doing the same thing...
