This half-mile-long, crescent-shaped patch reef is an interesting dive site since it is highly developed and similar to those of most outer bank reefs in the Key Largo area.

We did two snorkels here. I thought the reef seemed healthy. I saw a large number of fan coral and a big collection of different reef fish. This is a good destination for a first time snorkeler since it is not super rough usually.

Great place when it is too windy for the deeper reefs. You can anchor in the sand shallow to the reef and it is a very short swim to the reef. Great place to see conch, there are always many of the there. I even saw a cannon there and a reef shark swimming along with many colorful reef fish.

We took the snorkel tour from John Pennekamp Park. It was a crowded Labor day weekend so they took us to the Grecian Rocks. This worked out wonderfully, because we had our 8 and 4 year old on their first snorkel trip out in the ocean. The reef is not very deep so my daughter was able to see all... More

We went over Labor Day weekend to Grecian Rocks with a tour out of John Pennekamp State Park. It was perfect for our first time snorkeling! Beautiful coral formations and lots of amazing ocean life to view! We can't wait to visit again.

We viewed the Grecian rocks during a tour with Pennecamp park! The rocks looked a bit worn from people stepping on them, so please try not to step on them because it damages the reef. The corals were bleached but I recommend this because each reef is unique in color and marine life!

Kids (11 &15) and I hopped on a boat at Pennekamp to go snorkeling. We ended up at Grecian Rocks and boy were we glad. It was pretty shallow so my 11 year old felt very comfortable. We got to see LOTS of fish! Barracudas, snappers, parrot fish and angel fish. The colors were AMAZING! Make sure you bring a... More

Shallow waters to see an array of fish species. You have to be very careful at low tide, because the reefs and etc are sticking out of the water. If you are in the area snorkeling, you must stop and visit this area.

We took the Dolphin out of John Pennekamp Park. The boat ride to the reefs is fairly quick. The snorkeling water time goes really quickly on the 2 1/2 hour tour. Some girls we met who took the tour the day before said it was plenty long, but I could have stayed longer. There are many different species of colorfish... More
