In 2012 the iconic boat the African Queen was restored for her 100 year centennial celebration. In May 2012 she once again began plying the waters of Key Largo and currently offers canal and dinner cruises. We go out daily at 10am, 12am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. On Fridays and Saturdays at 6pm we offer a dinner cruise to the Pilot House Marina where passengers disembark and enjoy dinner in the restaurant before boarding the vessel once again to return to the Marina Del Mar. Dinner and lunch cruises are also available on request for groups of at least 4 people.

One of our reasons for travelling to Key Largo was to check out the African Queen. It is not easy to find "VERY POOR SIGNAGE" on the roadside. It is actually on the North side of the Holiday Inn, but not very clear. The old lugger has been totally overhauled, but still running on the old engine, although I am... More

Those who love the Bogey and Hepburn film will find this to be an interesting opportunity to see and ride on the real African Queen. The boat featured in the film has been restored and provides a slow cruise for a half-dozen passengers. The ride is a lazy trip down a canal and then a short loop in the sea.... More

Had watched the movie many times. It was amazing to actually be on The African Queen! The history of it all - and also the fact that it is still steam powered. The Captain was great - very informative.

Husband and I boarded, best seats on the boat! The seas got a bit choppy and rough over the reef, but the Captain was great! The young ladies that narrated and gave us excellent information and knowledge about the reef, fish and sea creatures, couldn't have been better! While one was lecturing us on the reef and the sea creatures... More

Once in a lifetime experience! My son was even able to steer the boat as we headed out. Great memories made this trip!

Captain Ron was a most honorable host. Great personality and lots of laughs! Very informative! We actually took him up on one of his suggestions for dinner and ran into him at the restaurant later that evening. We ended up having dinner with him and his girlfriend and laughed, ate great food, & completely enjoyed ourselves!

We recently booked the African Queen sunset cruise. It was a relaxing enough cruise and the company was great to work with. I am not sure what exactly I was expecting from this cruise, but basically, we boarded rode out into the ocean and came back. Of course, the sunset did everything else.

Happen upon this place for our Annv sunset cruise. It was by far the best part of our trip. Capt took us along a beautiful route and made every part of the trip awesome. Ron was so darn funny and had tons of stories to tell. He also educated us on how is spooner worked and gave us a sailing... More

20 years ago we visit Key Largo and we have seen the African Queen exposed in the marina close to the glass bottom boat location. We passed many times n front since 7 years on our way to Key West, this time we decided to stop and enjoy the cruise. We enjoy it,the Captain was great giving a lot of... More
