In 2012 the iconic boat the African Queen was restored for her 100 year centennial celebration. In May 2012 she once again began plying the waters of Key Largo and currently offers canal and dinner cruises. We go out daily at 10am, 12am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. On Fridays and Saturdays at 6pm we offer a dinner cruise to the Pilot House Marina where passengers disembark and enjoy dinner in the restaurant before boarding the vessel once again to return to the Marina Del Mar. Dinner and lunch cruises are also available on request for groups of at least 4 people.

If you've seen the movie this little steam engine powered canal ride will evoke pleasant memories. Photo albums are kind of falling apart and the other vessels in the canal are to die for if you like seeing how the very rich play.

This tour was great! Not too many people in the boat so very private. Make sure you watch the movie before going as it is all about this boat and then it's great being in the same exact one used to film. It was also very nice being out on the water and seeing all the beautiful homes in Key... More

We had a great trip on the African Queen and the captain did a great job of explaining all the history of the movie and the boat. It was awesome to see the old steam engine run the boat. Just a super experience.

First we were disappoined that the steam engine was out of order. Also we were rotalle only 5 participants, low internet I guess. The Ford in the restaurant was quite OK but the service did not really knew what to do. I recommend this experience but ask for right to cancel if the steam engine is out of order.

This quiet cruise was a nice alternative to the party boat scene. (though we brought our own drinks). Brian shared a lot of interesting points about the boat and movie. The ride was a relaxing view of the boats and homes in the area. Very nice.

It was nice to be on the boat but it was different not to have the steam engine running. I did get to drive the thing though.

As a family with a 4 year old, we truly enjoyed our sunset sail. The captain allowed our daughter to pretend to drive the boat and play in the hold. This allowed my wife and I to enjoy the scenery. I would highly recommend!

I booked a trip based on the authentic videos, brochures and web sites promoting authentic steam power. I was given a 1 hour boat road powered by a 15 hp outboard. They claim that the steam boiler broke the night before, but locals advised me that it's the worst tourist trap on Key Largo. The steam has not been fired... More

We were looking to do something different and this fit the bill. The original African Queen boat refurbished. We took the 5:30pm cruise through a boat dock canal, we were lucky to catch a glimpse of a manatee, we saw a beautiful sunset and it took us to a very cool dockside restaurant that had a glass bottom bar, dinner... We were on our way out to Key West and didn't have time to take a cruise on the African Queen, but this bit of history just sitting along the roadway was too much to pass up. If you're a fan of the movie, or just curious about the history, it's well worth a stop. The boat is just off... More
