Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical “backcountry” locales -- only accessible by kayak. More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience.

Our guide spotted many creatures (sponge, sea cucumber, sharks, conch, jellyfish, and more) during our kayak tour. He was very respectful of the environment and creatures, while using them for educational purposes for our group. The kayaking was beginner level and the scenery was beautiful. Paddling through the mangroves was spectacular.

This kayaking trip was a highlight of our trip to Key West. It was refreshing to get away from the crowds and craziness of Duval St and take a relaxing paddle through the Mangroves and see the abundant flora and fauna. This is a very easy paddle through calm and shallow waters. Our guide, Andy, pointed out sea urchins and... More

Our guide, James, was very knowledgeable about practically everything. It was interesting to see some of the wildlife up close and personal. Definitely recommend this if you want to see wildlife.

The sunset and starlight eco-tour was a fantastic way to explore the water and see some interesting creatures and beautiful scenery. I had never kayaked at night on the ocean. I felt very safe the entire time. The trip was suitable for all skill levels. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this tour.

We have been coming to the Keys for over a decade.and decided to try a nature focused kayak experience. It was great, the guide was so patient with us and provided so much information about the nature life we never would have noticed.

The short: An absolutely fabulous kayak experience with knowledgeable professionals and no experience kayaking needed. You won't regret it! The not so short: Our Sunset & Starlight kayak tour was absolutely amazing. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the local wildlife, which made for an informative and fun 2.5 hours. The sunset views were breath-taking and there... More

We did the sunset tour with James. We saw a wide variety of sea life including a baby shark. He caught the shark with s net and brought it up into the boat for close ups. The tours through the mangroves was excellent, especially seeing the sea life on the bottom via our head lamps. Finally we ended with views... More

Starfish and sea hares and jellyfish! Oh my! The most fun I've ever had in a boat! After a little sketchy meet-me-in-the-park-and-follow-me, we arrived at the dock a little underwhelmed. Our stuff secured in a locker and our shoes in a bin, we hopped into single kayaks and paddled out into the open water. When our guide started paddling standing... More
