If you have never been to Key West you must go to Mallory Square. MAKE SURE YOU GET THERE AND GET PARKED OR SETTLED IN AT LEAST AN HOUR BEFORE SUNSET! Mallory Square is a must see for anyone who hasn't been. However, there's nothing to see after sunset. It clears out. Just know that. There are many street performers.... More

Mallory square is a big deal when going to key west...the cruise ships dock here...there is a lot of activity on the square around sunset...get there early to enjoy the locals doing their tricks of the trade for entertainment....mixed drinks served on the deck...weddings happen here...yachts will dock here...visit the museum of art on the corner...

We were at the Keys during Thanksgiving weekend. We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and it was not too crowded. We stayed at the Southernmost Resort, within walking distance of Duval St. The market is such a fun place to walk around. Lots of interesting shops and people.

So I'm a dreadful cynic and only went here because a friend said "if you're going to Key West you ABSOLUTELY MUST visit Mallory square". When we got there I say several times, "is this it, is THIS it.....are we in the right place" As it turns out the answer was yes. So it seems that, if you're a hopelessly... More

Very touristy in this area, but we enjoy the aquarium and souvenir shops for browsing. Plenty to do and explore.

A must stop for sunset viewing when in Key West. It can be crowded so brace yourself if you are here on a weekend or busy time of year. There are various performers to keep you occupied while you wait for the sun to set. The sunsets are fabulous and if you are lucky you will catch a glimpse of... More

There is a a lot to do in this area. There are street vendors such as Reidiculous. He was great. Also the aquarium is located next to the square. We enjoyed in it and it's work seeing. Also, some restaurants are near by like El Pepe and bars like Capt Tony's. Also you can watch the sunset from the boardwalk.

As expected - rude tourists all jockeying for position to see the sunset. The amount of rudeness rivals Washington DC Congress! The old cliche; it is what it is.

Better places to see sunsets without cheap touristy stuff. Sunset pier is just around the corner and had great music both days we visited. You can sit and watch boats heading out and crisscross the horizon as the sun sets.
