You can actually ride your rental bike down for the day and lay on what beach they have here...we took towels...food was sold at the beach shop...very rocky...it cost 2.50 a person to get in but it is good till sundown...I usually get dressed for the evening and ride back in time for sunset...

Fort Zachary Taylor is a rel hidden gem giving you a fascinating up close encounter with a bit of real Florida history. Great value, and if you don't mind a walk a great place to park you rcar while you sight-see the rest of Key West!

Bethany was great. She was so customer focused and was extremely flexible listening to the needs of her clients. We wanted more time exploring the wildlike in kayaks and she was very accomodating. The tour started and end on time and the lunch spread was tasty.

Have traveled to KW many times for the sbi world championships. Had never been inside Fort Zachary. The fort itself is neat to walk around and explore. There are two beaches, one big and one more of a small secluded right by the naval pier. The views from the trees and trails off the main beach are amazing. The most... More

This is a state park and the grounds were well maintained and clean. Fee to enter was very small - less then $10. You can walk up on the stop of the fort and get fantastic views of the water, cruise ships at port and park. If you peek into the windows of the main part of the fort, there... More

This is the best beach on key west but definitely not the best in the keys. Fort Zachary is unique in the fact that it is very forest like and beautiful rocky jettys in the water. Tons of picnic tables and shaded ares as well as great bathrooms and even a concession stand. I would definitely recommend driving instead of... More

Great for picnics and watching the boat races. If you stay a little longer you are able to see the sunset and oh my how beautiful. The beach has grills so you can barbecue.

Visiting the Fort was really cool! Walking through is interesting, but I must say the highlight was the iguanas all along the walls. We spent the majority of our time watching the iguanas on the side of the fort. We also walked over to the beach and had fun in the water. The beach was one of the sandier beaches... More

This is a beautiful location. The fort is amazing. Water is crystal clear and snorkeling beats anything at Key West. Take the ferry out with meals and bathrooms. It is worth the time.
