Great shopping!

Packed solid with people from end to end but tons of fun, little shops . Someboutrageously priced, others reasonable. Lots of restaurants. Be prepared to walk!

Duval Street has its highlights. Some good restaurants , the butterfly sanctuary , live music, Peter Lik's gallery. That accounts for about 20% of the mile long street. Sadly, a big chunk of the street is cheesy souvenir shops (they all sell the same things made in China). Vendors stand on the street yelling "hey lady come here" or they whistle... More

Caters to cruise line tourists, not my thing.... on the east end there are some higher end galleries and shops more to my liking. Can be very crowded, bar scene of no interest but if you like that stuff there are a lot of options.

All you need is three days max here. Two is probably good enough, four is way too many. If you want to have fun you will have a blast. Stay in a hotel near by so you can walk back and forth in that you will end up drinking too much while walking around. Good times indeed.

We sat above the street at a bar and had beers and people watched. We ate at Hog's Breathe and had key lime shots. We shopped. We picked up a pie right off Duval Street. We stopped in to see Grunt's Bar, hadn't been there in 17 years!

We didn't have enough time for this street. I think you can find just about anything you want. It's the only shopping area here. But beware, when darkness falls, out comes the bar life!

We headed out in the early morning and took the trolley around the island to the Southernmost Point (those reviews to follow) and got off there. We saw a few sights there and headed down Duval St. It was a nice walk, lots to see and just took our time visiting all the shops and stores. Stopped for breakfast -... More

Approximately a mile from one end to the other, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, that anyone should be able to find something of interest

Cleaner and safer than New Orleans but same party atmosphere. The Duval crawl as its known is a great time for adult entertainment and libations .

Duval Street is filled with shops, bars and restaurants and seems to have a crazy energy at night. Most of the stores sell outrageous tourist trash..but somebody is buying it!
