We anticipated long trips over water on narrow bridges. Except for the 7 mile bridge, which is modern and wide, the short bridges are hardly noticeable, even in our 40 ft motor home.

Skip the ferries, the flights, and buses. Rent a jeep or a convertible and enjoy the ride! Beautiful!

Breathtaking views from the bridges and amazing sight seeing, the beautiful colors of the water are a sight. The traffic moved quickly and the road was smooth, a pleasure to visit all the keys on our way to Key West

I can’t think of anywhere else in the world where you get to drive over such an area. It can be frustrating with cyclists but it’s worth it because the scenery is awesome.

The speed limit through the Keys is anywhere from 35mph to 55mph. Remember this is a long drive going through areas of population to others of almost no population. It’s a highway over the ocean. Some areas have two... More

This is a slow highway max speed is 45. Alot of stuff to see so need to be careful of people making sudden stops. Saturdays are the busiest on the highway due to that being the day weekly rentals are up. Be safe!😃
