The view from the top was amazing but if your scared of heights like I am it's going to be rough. The stairs are very small and cramped.

Well worth the 88 steps to the top, the view is amazing. It is tight inside if someone is coming from the other direction.

Christina in the gift shop is a hoot! The tour is fascinating. Take the time to listen to the recorded info in the keeper's house. The climb to the top gives you a bird's eye view of the island.

Went to the lighthouse with my wife. It's located right across the street from Earnest Hemingway's house. Has a great view of most of the island. Very beautiful, especially with the red flowering trees everywhere, looks really cool. If you like a little bit of...More

The Key West Lighthouse is near the Hemingway House. The grounds are beautiful and for a fee you can climb the lighthouse which we chose not to do. There is a key lime pie toss on the Saturday around or before the 4th of July...More

It's worth the walk up the spiral staircase to see the views from the top of this lighthouse. Not for the infirmed or the faint of heart.

It's not so much fun to climb up, but the view compensate it. The surrounding of the lighthouse is also beautiful.

If its a clear day, which overall is most days in Key West, take the walk up this tight and cramped lighthouse staircase and once you get passed that bad stuff, you'll get rewarded with a great view of the surrounding area. Right across the...More

I believe it was $10 a person. However, I am a Coast Guard Veteran and they admitted me and my family for free.

Unlike some of the other light houses this one does not have landings to rest on. I have a bad back and weak legs, and asthma, it was a struggle for me but i made it and it was well worth the struggle.

The stairs are very very narrow, it can be a little frightening passing someone going the opposite direction. There's really no where to stop to rest. But I wouldn't necessarily say it's really steep.
