Given the location, this could be a much better aquarium. Lots of potential, but did not really deliver.

We wanted to make sure we visited this aquarium before we left and are glad we did. Rea was the sea life expert working today and she filled us with knowledge of all organisms at the aquarium. (She even provided some history of the building and facility.) She was able to feed sharks, fish and turtles during our visit. The... More

This is not a big Aquarium which I think made it better. There were a lot of cool fish. The touch tank was neat the kids liked touching the species in it. The sea turtles were also a hit as was the feeding show.

The Key West Aquarium is a must see location in Key West. Whether you are into the sea life or you just need to kill a couple hours while waiting for something this place is great. Like a lot of places in the Keys it's set up so you can walk freely about, but there are guided tours and shows... More

Last week on a cloudy cooler day, the family and I went to the Key West aquarium. It is a small place, but packed with great exhibits and lots of fun. We all enjoyed the fish feedings that occur multiple times daily. The staff was friendly and courteous and the guide did an excellent job communicating to all about the... More

My kids (aged 4, 6, 8) loved this place! They learned about the different fish during the feeding time and then they were able to feed them themselves! They got to touch a nurse shark and watch them feed the other sharks in the outdoor, natural enclosure. It was pretty cool and affordable too!

The aquarium we visited was interesting but noticeably smaller than I expected especially for a tourist area on the ocean. The building is a historical site so that itself was interesting to see however this also meant that they are limited in upgrades they can make to the aquarium so it does have an old feel to it. They had... More

Our two small kids (ages 3 & 6) could have spent hours at the touch tank; it was a highlight of their time here, and Mom and Dad enjoyed the talk provided by the guide. Their second favorite activity was the ability to pet the rough skin of the nurse shark following the outside shark feeding. Displays with gators and... More

It's a small little place, but part of visiting it is it's vintage charm. It's stayed relatively the same for a long time. They have some neat things to look at, and it's a cool building. Don't expect anything spectacular, but it's definitely enjoyable.
