This garden is gorgeous, if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. A garden, set in the ruins of an old fort, right on the ocean. How can you beat that? It is free, full of winding paths, beautiful flowers and surprising little nooks and accents. I could have spent hours there.

I loved this place. A wonderful place to take pictures. A marvelous view of the ocean and all they ask for is a donation.

...but the volunteer at the Front Desk was so abrupt and curt that it left a "bad taste in our mouth". The gardens are lovely, but our time here was definitely dimmed by our Front Desk encounter.

The largest aloe plants i have ever seen! So many great species and scents, they need better labeling of plants but feel free to ask questions

Beautiful relaxing walk through the gardens. Great place to stroll a baby/small child. Really cool tree and wonderful flowers.

Delighted to spend an hour in this very small garden, immaculately maintained and well narrated - by volunteers. Was also very happy to donate to maintain it.

Happened upon this after realizing there's little else to do except wander along short stretch of beach not covered in weed. Shady retreat with gorgeous plant life well kept by dedicated volunteers who take donations. Sat quite a while in the shade and the peace just enjoying this. Thank You.

While walking on the beach to see the 1860 African cemetery we stepped under an arch leading to an old unfinished fort and a beautiful botanic garden. A gentleman greeted us with information about the garden so we took the short walk to see amazing bits of the old fort and identified plants and trees. Part of the walk overlooks... More

This garden is tucked away behind West Martello Tower near Higgs Beach. Don't miss this walk through these beautiful gardens. It would be a great place to have a small wedding and reception. Don't miss this if you are in the area.
