After dinner, we took a walk around the harbor and watched the sunset. Boats and ships of all kinds were anchored at their slips or were off loading fish and fishermen from their day of angling. Cruise ships were boarding passengers and preparing to leave port. Sunset cruise people were boarding for an eventful evening at sea and we all were just enjoying the port. A great way to see all kinds of work and play in the KW harbor.

Of course you have to come through this area, and you must while in the keys. Lots of food to eat. Lots of boats to see especially when they are decorating them for Christmas. They were feeding the Tarpon off the doeck at (4:00 was it?) or 5 everyday. The Pelican sure knew what time it was to come eat. The fish were massive easily seen from the docks. Huge yachts in the harbor along with smaller boats. Some areas roped off as being more private for the boaters. A park inside the area to sit.

We walked along here several times during our KW visit. Mornings were quiet and people were gathering to take boat excursions. Afternoons were busy and lots of restaurants and bars to eat/drink at. Several shops. Many different types of boats and we saw two manatees up close one morning!

Very cool place, good restaurant options, ideal for an aperitif with a late afternoon drink. The restaurants have happy hour daily from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, where you pay half for drinks and some dishes. Worth knowing.

Very busy and nice area of Key West! So many charters and excursions begin right here all through the day, and you can watch the fish being cleaned and filleted in front of some of the docked boats when they come in. We got to see the crew from the Fishmonster company feeding sharks and tarpon the scraps one afternoon. Great photo opportunities abound all around! Kermit's Key Lime shop is close by, and offers many freebies. There is also a great little coffee hut that sells all kinds of last minute, needed amenities right on the boardwalk. The crowds are bustling at night, and the sunsets are out of this world beautiful! Some of the best hotels, restaurants and bars are right there along the waterfront. A must see!

Lovely area to hang out in and grab a ice cream while you watch the boats. We took a couple tours during our trip to Key West, and we arrived a little early so we could sit at the docks for a while and just enjoy the view.

There are some shops, in case you forget your sunscreen or sun hat. Some of the stores have really beautiful art work as well. Good restaurants as well!

You could spend a lot of time here just admiring some large yachts. Make sure to eat at one of the many restaurants along the docks. There is also feeding of the tarpons and sharks when fish cleaning occurs.

The Seaport is SO CROWDED and NOT relaxing! We considered going on a snorkeling tour from a boat in Seaport and realized what a nightmare it was going to be for parking and access. We decided to use another business out of the seaport and we're glad we did. This place honestly felt too cluttered and touristy...at least in our opinion.

We spent several hours exploring the seaport, finding lots of places to stop and enjoy a beverage, shop, watch the boats, and spot sea life. There were manatees hanging out as well as tarpon, sharks, colorful reef fish and pelicans. Cute little shops along the way with the usual tourist offerings as well as some unique shopping. Great way to enjoy an afternoon and see the sunset.
