Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a lovely Catholic Church with a parking lot. No air conditioning. When it gets hot, the sides of the church are like shutters that open. The Sunday we were there, the male cantor did a great job leading us in prayerful song. He had a very nice voice.

The Hemingway family church. After the divorce, Pauline and the kids undoubtedly still worshiped here. A lot of history here. Gorgeous interior.

This a Beautiful church. Stained glass windows. You can see how it was built for the keys.
The pastor is THE BEST. Fr. John Baker. (He’s the real deal) .

While our group of 13 did not get to experience a mass at the Basilica, we did visit the church and also had a rosary at the Grotto under the stars. It was amazing!

We went here, first because it was so near our hotel, but it's also worth a trip even if you aren't staying nearby. It was especially nice to visit when the side doors were open and a breeze was coming through.

We first went to the church to check out the grounds. They are beautiful. There is a grotto, a huge in the ground rosary , and then a mosaic stations of the cross. Sunday mass was beautiful. So many beautiful families. I felt at home

As I was about walking around and getting all the sights in the Church felt so welcoming and warm. I did miss out on going to services but I did pray will we were there. The good were very clean and cut.

Can couples get Barry there? If so, what are the requirements.
Thank you so much.

Yes, you can, but you must meet the Catholic requirements for marriage know where to access your church records. My daughter was just married there but had to provide documentation of completing pre-Cana wedding prep course, home-parish approval and recommendation for marriage, copies of baptismal certificate and notations of other sacraments received, home diocese approval (we were from another state), approval from archdiocese of Miami, and approval by Fr. Baker, the pastor. I'd give this 3 months from the end of the couple's wedding prep course until the wedding... It takes time to pull everything together and get it sent off. Not all Church administrative staff are as accommodating as our home parish and the Basilica of St. Mary.
The whole thing about having your paperwork go through the Archdiocese of Miami was not in the Basilica's guidelines for getting married there, so we found out about the paperwork snafu when we visited in January! Barely enough time for the kids to get all the paperwork run through our diocese and sent to the Miami Tribunal, but Fr. Baker assured us everything would work out, and it did!

We are coming in July and I read the Sunday 9am is when the children sing? Is this correct?
Also, what is appropriate to wear for mass to this church? We don't want to be to under or over dressed.

Regarding attire, Key West is VERY casual, so I would think that this applies to church also. When we visited during the day, we were in shorts; not sure that I would (as an older woman) wear shorts to Mass, but feel sure it would be okay for the younger crowd. About the children singing at Mass, I don't know the answer. Guess you could check on their website.

Hello! We will be there for a short time as a stop on a cruise... Was wondering if you could tell me directions from the port as we have never been there...
