It was a long bridge. Other than that I can't find much to say. It is worth a look but I would not go out of my way to see it. If you are going to drive to the keys you can't miss it.

We were hoping to spend some time at the overlook on the north end of the bridge but there is major work underway. Had lunch at the great Sunset Grill next door and could see a lot of work on that side as well!

South side good for fishing .8 miles. Can see lots of rays, and some sharks. But all in all a good walk!

7 miles of the best views of the water. Small islands dot both sides. We have crossed this brings several times in the last 2 weeks. No problems.

There is a small parking lot on the right hand side of the road as you're traveling south- pull over and park. This is partly paved/gravel area, but you can take some beautiful pics here on a sunny day of the bridge, water, and a good view of Money Key. You can also walk onto the old bridge and do... More

My husband and I were in the Florida Keys last week - Jan 29 thru Feb 2 '17 - and we traveled Hwy 1 a lot to go to all of our destinations. I was concerned about the 7 mile bridge at first, but we went over it many times. Sometimes I wouldn't even know that we had just been... More

Drove it both ways. Southward was more interesting. So much water. Stayed in Marathon after driving down from Miami. Not to be missed. The ride is beautiful.
