Sep. 2nd was kiteboarding demo day at the park with a large presence by Cabrinha reps and kiteboarding pros and amateurs. Nearly 20 kites were in the sky. Learned from one of the “boarders” that one can learn this sport in 8-10 hrs of instruction...More

This state park is for those who want a quiet place near the ocean. Some sites back up to the dunes right before the beach. The ocean is right there! You can sit in your campsite and watch the kite boarders or whoever is out...More

Don;t plan on being able to visit as the park is closed due to extensive hurricane damage. Probably will not re-open for a long time as the beach needs to have sand trucked in.

This is a groovy little state park in Marathon, FL, approx. MM55/56. My wife and spent almost two full days here last week, just chilling out, renting double kayaks for $22.00/2 hours, way better than EcoLady at $40.00/hour per person. Thought we messed with some...More
