Our sweet town is a place that we like to say welcomes many. From our wonderful library, Lake Wales Downtown Farmers Market, Cliff's True Value Hardware and good restaurants, it truly is a treasure! Come and visit!

Old Florida main street, Remember what a 5 and 10 was, A nice stroll and contrast to the new malls in Lake Wales. Aged but a lifestyle preserved for history.

I live in Lake Wales and really wish we could do more with our downtown. There are a few gems to see but it is so small there really isn't any thing that just makes you want to run down there. I wish it wasn't...More

Well it is a small town not much to see. I think its a place you can say been there. We were there on a Saturday and it seem like a ghost town.

Anchored on one end with a church and the other an old hotel, Lake Wales Main Street is a delight for a walk. You will pass the small town newspaper, a jewelry shop, a kitchen shop, and lots of other little must sees. There is...More

We drove around on a Saturday afternoon looking for stuff to do in Lake Wales. We thought the town was cute but really nothing to write home about. The paintings on some of the buildings was awesome.

The tallest building in this historical city is waiting for a new life. Centrally located in the heart of the city. US Post office and other institutions are centered around.

I use to go down a lot more. When I did go down, there were plenty of interesting little shops. Met some nice people. They were suppose to restore the big tall green building and have shops in the bottom of it. Cliffs Hardware and...More

Just off the main srtreet are a coouple of side streets clearly labeled as an Historic District. It has the feel of old time Florida. The Grand Hotel is closed but hopefully someone will revitalize it and give it new life.

We've visited downtown Lake Wales numerous times. It's a fairly shabby downtown with numerous struggling businesses. Sometimes there are farmer's markets in season or other special events.
