This is the place to go to photograph wading birds & alligators. Nice walking paths where you can get up close to birds & alligators. Insect repellant may be needed. Lots of swamp & ponds to view as well as Lake Handcock. Benches along the paths. Bring a hat and water as it can get hot.

I always enjoy going to the Circle B Bar Reserve. The nature is undisturbed and beautiful. Lots of animals can be found along the paths. It has a great learning center for kids and information for adults. Don't forget your bug spray!

If you want to see nature at its best and get some exercise this is the place to go. Bring water and comfortable shoes as there are no places on the trail to get a drink and sometimes the walk is long before you can sit. There are different trails to go on depending on how long you have to... More

Got a Wild Kingdom moment as I saw an alligator chomp down on his... More

We thoroughly enjoyed wandering the trails looking at the birds and alligators. I would imagine that the hotter months would be interesting viewing, but miserable with mosquitos due to all the water and swamp like terrain.

If you want to experience Florida's natural beauty you can't go wrong with a trip to Circle Bar B. There are many walking/hiking trails to suit all needs and fitness levels. When last there my family and I decided to try one of the longest. You get to walk along the shore of Lake Hancock and see many different species... More
