Although the planes were stationary they hung above our heads. Wonderful to see all the different era planes, along with a Hall of Fame area with multiple photos of great aviators both men and women! My company loved the experience!

The night before we went to this museum we had watched the movie Hidden Figures which told the story of three African American women and their roles in the early space program here in Florida. Some of the details of the development of space travel was included in this museum which was a nice follow-up to the movie. However, there... More

I visit this location several times each year for various functions including but not limited to; Sun n Fun airshow, when pigs fly south BBQ, car show, Corvette and street rod show and of course for the museum itself. Very nice museum with a wide assortment of planes. Everything from models, to vintage biplanes, to home builts and even a... More

This museum traces the history of flight and how it relates to Florida. It's an informative 2 hour journey. The building has some interesting exhibits on how airplanes, air travel, and airports work. A must for history buffs and young kids. This center has a number of home built and one of a kind aircraft ( not a lot of... More

This is a great aircraft museum, it has a good variety of aircraft both inside and outside the facility. This was a nice break from the typical crowded tourist traps. I would recommend this to anyone interested in aircraft history.

The museum appears to be the responsibility of a local non-profit organization versus being state funded. It is very small with a variety of worn exhibits....but interesting. As part of the ASTC Travel Passport Program, my grandson and I were not charged an entry fee...which is modest. The museum is located a ways off of any main route. Unless you... More

On Oct.02, 2016 I visited the Lackland, FL Air Museum. Hoping to see something I had once flown, maybe a vintage Super Cub PA-18. (105hp Lycoming engine, aviation cadets called it the "Fabric Fortress.") My first solo, sweet little tail-dragger, flew itself. There was no PA-18 but lots of vintage and rare planes, both prop and jet. During the Sun... More

This is a great must visit air museum, not easy to locate, came across by accident so could do with a bit more publicity. Not the cheapest place but its still good value.
