We stayed at Windjammer. I was told that there are 2 beautiful reefs. We snorkeled to the fist reef which is 150 yards out and saw very little fish. We swam past the pier and tried to make it to the second reef but the...More

I didn't have a snorkel with me but I could see a couple buoys anchored to the bottom about 150 yards from shore. No one here could tell me anything about a shipwreck or a reef and since it was getting late I decided not...More

I had read reviews and decided to take a short swim out. With just some goggles and a dive flag I was really pleased at the fish and coral I saw. Im sure it doesn't compare to major dive sites but it was cool and...More

This is the best off shore snorkeling site by far! Only about 300 feet (3-4 football fields from shore) to get to the reef to see an assortment of colorful Reef fish, Rays, & nurse sharks. When we went around noon, the water was choppy...More

I had lots of experiences in this reef, there is plenty to see and the reef is somewhat healthier than any other shore dive. There are always nursesharks to admire and lobster to grab early in the season. Its an easy snorkeling site as well...More

pier nearby keeps boat traffic away. colorful fish, turtles, shark(nurse), lobsters... usually others out there as well so even though you swim a small distance from shore you don't feel out on your own.

It's called the Datura Avenue Portal because you enter at Datura Avenue, about 2 blocks South of the Pier. At the portal are large maps so you can see exactly how to find the shipwreck trail. Once you enter the water... go... More

No, but the nearby hotels often offer food/bathrooms and by the pier are restaurants with bathrooms.

Parking is a problem; bring quarters or get the app to pay. However, you can find parking near the pier, but Datura Avenue Portal is about 2 blocks south of the pier. There are no umbrellas.
