The "Pass", as locals refer to it, was created by a hurricane on September 27, 1848. A pirate, John Levique, made the first passage through the newly created pass. Hence the name, Johns Pass. Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit the Village with unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing.

Numerous shops to browse through, lots of restaurants and activities to book. We always stop here with every trip to the area. Really nice views of the sunset, draw bridge and boats coming in and out of the docks.

We had a free evening and walked around. Great pizza place there (super busy), restaurants and ice cream shops. Lots of t-shirt and gift shops. Fishing and dolphin excursions can be booked here too. We got to see a fishing boat come in and clean all the catch of the day with birds waiting to scoop up the scraps. We... More

Awesome shops and things to see. The kids loved this area and it was fun to walk around and get ice cream. There is no free parking so that is kind of annoying but it is only $2 an hour. Park in the garage so you can pay when you leave and there is a lot more spaces available. I... More

We stopped by when driving down the coast to have a walk around and stop by some of the bars and shops - Johns Pass is such a nice place! While walking on the boardwalk we actually saw some dolphins out in the water which was amazing, and it wasn't too crowded at the time, nor too hard to get... More

This is a good place to bring the friends, the family, whatever! There are quite a few eating and drinking options, for all ages. There's pizza and ice cream. There's adult beverages (and pizza and ice cream!) Best part is you can catch an Uber pretty cheap from down there.

We spent a pleasant afternoon strolling along the boardwalk in John's Pass. It has many choices for food, clothes and souvenirs. I loved the Sponge and Soap shop. This area was known for the sponges and I had to buy one. Great ice cream and seafood. Would love to visit again.

It was a bit of a disappointment, he had expected something lively but instead it was typical tourist crap from 10 years back. what a downer!
