Hi before the boat starts you are all seated safely, you are seated for the whole trip, after the trip the boat stops and will be tied up & secured before departing, it is a flat bottom boat so quite stable, help is at hand... More

I would think it would be appropriate for an active senior, providing they don't have any back, neck or shoulder issues. There isn't any swimming involved.

We were not traveling with children but don't think the are old enough for the bike tour or wave runner tour. Beach is your best bet.
