We stayed the week there, although our original plans were for Sanibel Island. Marco was red tide free and not experiencing any of the horrors going on in other areas. The water was amazing. Clear and warm. You could spend all day out there floating...More

Beach is crowded with people but it had lots of shells, very clean and lots of fun. The water was calm and the right depth for children to swim

We are staying in North Port but had to drive south to get away from the red tide. We picked South Marco Beach. We got there at 10:30am on a Saturday morning and parked at the public parking for $8. There was a bathroom there...More

Marco is probably the least affected by red tide on the southwest gulf side, but still had some dead fish and dead baby manatee last week. There is public parking in two lots at the south end. Some restauarants and the renovated Hilton are charging...More

This is a very nice beach. The waters were calm with small waves. In August the water temperature is 90 degrees which makes it perfect for small kids to swim. We spent a week floating and splashing. This beach has a TON of shells, so...More

We have been to Marco Island several times and have never been disappointed with South Beach. It is laid back yet offers all the thrill stuff from waverunners to parasail to kayak to paddle boards. There is also decent shelling there as well. The water...More

We have visited multiple times. Best to park in the most southerly parking spot as the walk between the hotels is just across the road. There are life vests for the kids on the walkway to the beach for the kids but you need to...More

Parking is about a 8 minute walk from the beach on Swallow road on the other side of Collier Blvd. Bathrooms and water are available there only. $8.00 to park paid at a meter on-site. Each time we went in the last 12 days the...More

Yes. There is both a Resident’s Beach (members only) and Collier County lot which is $8.00 if you don’t have the sticker.
