A group of run down huts on stilts, that's it. You can't go inside or walk around or use the beach; therefore no big deal.

Nice destination for a boating trip. Have seen more amazing things but it is interesting to see how the ocean and beaches can change over time. Read about the history before you go.

Once you get to Cape Romano Island, you could walk/swim out to the houses (the water is not deep), but you do have to get to the island in the first place.
