Good place to see nature, birds, and Manatees! You can fish from the old bridge and walk are trails into the Sanctuary away from the road.

Ulumay is a great birding sanctuary and also a great place to fish from shore. It has a long bike /walking trail that extends all the way north to 528 under the hwy bridge. Cool trail.

I love this spot for launching the yak. Fishing, dolphin watching and all the sea birds one can hope for. Launch from Kiwanis Island Park.

This is a relaxing little spot off the side of the road. It has a hiking/bird watching trail and a fishing pier at the end of the road.

The dikes which were formed to originally tame the swamp for mosquito control and upon which you can walk around this sanctuary have become so overgrown with vegetation that you cannot see anything of the water - no birds, etc. We could see scant glimpses...More
