Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friends told us about the museum or we never would've known about it! Great little day excursion. Looking forward to being the kids when we return.

If you have half an interest in military history this is a must if you are in the area.

A small museum but packed with interesting exhibits displayed with care.

What was particularly well done was the personal stories of the artefacts donated to the museum. It really tells the story behind the uniform.

Excellent museum. Tons of military memorabilia. Professionally done displays. I'm local and have been meaning to visit for years. Glad I finally did.

This was a great museum with knowledgeable docents. It took about one hour to tour. They had a lot of exhibits spanning from revolution through world War 2. We were fascinated by the military hanguns and rifles guns they had over these time periods. There were memorials outside for all serviceman lost in the major wars. There was a piece of the Arizona hull on the third floor.

Great little museum. Well worth the visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful with info. No fee to enter but donations should be giving at entrance. Proceeds go to assist vets.

Very well done museum with educational exhibits from each branch of service as well as each war our country has been in. It has a couple helicopters, a tank and a plane outside with memorials to different wars and the service men and women who served.

Great collection of military items, memorabilia, uniforms, and equipment. Very cool experience. Enjoyed the interactive stuff a lot. There’s a helicopter cockpit out front that kids and adults alike seemed to enjoy. Also you can experience a working periscope! So cool to check that out.

This is a very good museum. There is a large number of uniforms, weapons and personal items of soldiers starting from civil war up to more recent conflicts. There is a working periscope from a submarine and a cockpit of a helicopter that kids enjoyed immensely. Everything is very informative and the staff is super friendly. Nothing but good memories. Highly recommend.

This is located behind the Merrit Island Mall. It is at the south end of South Sykes Creek Parkway. It is a very nice location that sports many different pieces. There is a memorial area with 2 helicopters, a tank, a truck, and a plane. There is a park located to the west of the building and south of the memorial area with parking and a walking path over a bridge and around an inlet. The building itself has a walkway along the water. Inside the building is an absolutely wonderful museum. We have been to this building many times but this was the first time that I had visited the museum. What a fantastic place. There are 2+ stories of graphics, artifacts, and memorabilia coving the United States service members’ wartime history. We spent about an hour looking at the various parts of all the floors and areas. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and I could have spent a lot more time looking over all the information displayed there. This is a must-see site for our area. I highly recommend this to any veteran or student of American history. Enjoy.

My family and I attended the Veteran's Day Ceremonies this year. We were so pleased to see such a large crowd in attendance. People still care about this Country and our Veterans. Do visit here....no entrance fee...just make a donation of whatever you can afford. It's a lovely place with great history lessons.
