We were there in a cruise and rented a car for the day. We saw alligators, flamingos, pelicans and so many other types of birds! Beautiful creature in their natural habitat.

We drove and drove. Where is it. Both sat nav and google earth showed us to be there. We could see fences, we could see where it is - but no way in.

We saw a roseate spoonbill stretching its wings, lots of other waterfowl we couldn’t identify, 2 alligators, and then we drove to see the manatee (although all we saw was one gliding through the water and a dolphin or shark fin). Oh, and two snakes....More

First time doing the drive. Saw lots of wildlife including ducks, birds, wild boar, and alligators just to name a few. Definitely a place to go if you do photography.

There is so much to see here so drive very slowly. Look both sides of the car. Alligators can be hard to spot but they are there. Lots of different birds to watch; the mullet jumping; armadillos; alligators. Even the different type of grasses are...More

Seven-mile, one-way drive that you can drive around slowly to see many different species of birds. Other bird watchers (mostly regulars) are usually more than happy to identify the species you do not know.

The earlier the better for bird watching - although we have been midday and still saw great birds- just not as many.
