I have not been here since 2012. The new parking area and upgraded visitor center were wonderful. Our guide Tammy and tram driver were extremely knowledgable. They spotted the birds and gators and paused for photos. Tammy introduced us to the carnivorous plane bladder wort by cheerfully climbing into the water. We saw many fabulous birds and learned many facts... More

This tram tour is a must-do on the Miami side of the Everglades. Tammy, our tour guide, had been giving these wildlife tours for a long time and was very informative. You see the highest concentration of wildlife in the park and you can get very close to alligators at the observation tower. Would highly recommend.

Shark Valleys is the second Everglades park that we have visited and it did not disappoint. We strolled the walking path and spotted numerous alligators (some VERY close up) and so many beautiful birds and greenery. You could spend the entire day just walking/biking the paths. We did take the 2 hour tram tour which gives you a great overview... More

I took the Shark Valley Tram at 9:00 am since I knew that the earlier in the morning the more wildlife I would be able to see. Well, I was so right! I saw more wildlife on this 2 hours guided excursion than on the 3 days I spent visiting this amazing eco-system. It was a little confusing to make... More

We planned 1 day and half at Everglades, and the 2-hour tram tour provided a nice quick overview. The park ranger's explanation is very informational. Tram stopped often to allow us taking pictures for alligator, birds and any animals we've spotted--a lot of them!! It takes us to the center of everglades, where you can climb to the top of... More

The tram tour provides a glimpse into quintessential Everglades. We saw many gators and birds. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the park. Technical issues with the microphone was inconvenient, though.

If you want to see alligators, look no further than the 15 miles of Shark Valley. You can take a tram tour, rent a bicycle, or walk the paths. Gators were EVERYWHERE, many birds, and you could just hear tons of wildlife past the trees at dusk. I wish I had the time to take the tram tour and see... More

Well worth the money. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, told us a lot about the plants, animals, and the environment. The driver was able to help us find various birds and many alligators. Very fun trip!

What a blast. We saw baby gators...huge gators...gators everywhere. There was even two gators on the sidewalk to the observation tower that we had to walk around. The observation tower was very unusual and the panoramic view was spectacular. Lots of birds as well. and the tram operators were very good. Sylvia is an excellent guide. WELL WORTH IT! and... More

$25 each person for tram + $25 per car to enter park - we had bought a year long National Park pass at the main Everglades entrance so we got in free here. Tour was good. 45 minutes outwards, 25 mins at the observatory and 45 mins back to ranger station by different route. Saw Egrets, Herons, Red shouldered Hawks,... More
