This is the Design District folks, so don't expect it to have outlet mall prices. You'll be disappointed if you do. All the designers are here with jewelry, chic fashions and home furnishings. There were few sales, even on President's Day. And few shoppers as well. We were wondering how the merchants stay in business. Anyway, the place is beautiful.... More

This is one of the most chic points at MIA. Many of the famous brand are here. Best restaurants and good coffees.

Miami Beach has the Bal Harbour Shops, and Miami has the Design District. We visited this area at around 9:30am and didn't realised many of the shops opened much later. Every designer boutique is at your fingertips, as the setting of this place has a really relaxed and chic vibe to it. It was very therapeutic as we walked around... More

If you like window shopping for designers this is the place...only very expensive shops available. We went to the Contemporary Art Museum and although in a temporary location, had some really interesting artwork. Besides this there isn't much to see...

At the same time A blend of wonderful arts form very well known Artists, local, and fabulous cafes, bistros and restaurants. My friend and I checked out this place just for the designs, they're pretty neat. We enjoyed looking in the stores to see what stuff they had. Ridiculously expensive but even more the fun to just look at it. I managed to get a beautiful photo of the sunset from the top level and there's a pretty mural with birds... More

This area has been going through transitions - physical and the nature of the stores - in the past few years. It's still a work in progress. The stores, as advertised, as truly upscale. Yet, lots of spaces remain empty and the streets are quite bleak. I did not feel encourage to enter a single one. From what I could... More

This was our third visit to the Miami Design District since it began its transformation. The buildings are unique and beautiful, however it still does not have the feel of a shopping destination. Walking around there gets boring after the first half hour. The lack of shopper traffic, combined with the stores being so spread out, creates an uneasy feeling.

The design District is growing with new buildings that will give the true meaning of architecture. It is a great place to see modern architecture and unusual buildings. Want to buy luxury home improvement products, you can do that here.
