This historic estate brings you right up on the bay with ocean breezes and gorgeous Royal Palms. Just when you can't take the claustrophobia of Coconut Grove another minute, drive down here for some fresh air and a taste of another era. The grounds are beautiful, the houses are nice to walk through. $12 per person for either self tour... More

I have visited often for the views of the outside grounds and also many events. Building interiors not so interesting but outside (especially in the back) the grounds and view are breathtaking. Event of Feb 14, 2017 though was totally disappointing. Entertainers were NOT good. From previous events I had expected a good show. Entertainers, sad to say, performed as... More

A trip back in time. Beautiful grounds and views of the bay. Best time to visit is during the annual Seafood Fest. Lots of activities and great local seafood. Always a good idea to have the DEET at the ready as the skeeders can be brutal..

The Deering Estate is a quiet little park on the open water. View the home of the Deering family, or walk through the park and enjoy the wildlife and beautiful palm trees. They are only open from 10am to 4pm, but makes for a good weekend visit. They offer events throughout the year to check out - live concerts, bird... More

We visited for the one minute play festival, which is part of a nationwide festival of aspiring playwrites and actors. It was wonderfully done, although not traditional and at times a bit edgy, but we liked that. It was held at the little theatre in the visitors center which is a gem of a theatre space. The estate itself is... More

My husband took me and my mother and we had a lovely and relaxing place here. It's very nice to know how the wealthy lived in those days. Beautiful place and highly recommended it.

I really enjoyed the beautiful park with rows of palm trees right by the water. It was serene and relaxing, and I would highly recommend spending the $12 entrance fee to walk around. (There is a Starbucks next door, so pick up a latte first!)

We had a good time at the Deering Stage. A nice piece of history in the middle of nature. We forgot that we were in the middle of Miami.

A hidden gem. A wonderful setting and lovely grounds. Seeing inside the house was really interesting. Great to understand it's history and that of the Deerings. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas by local gardening clubs. You need a cafe and a gift shop! Missed revenue opportunity.
