People watching is a great pastime in Miami's South Beach, which draws celebrities and beautiful people in skimpy swim attire to see and be seen. The wide and fine, white sand-covered beaches are popular spots for fashion photo shoots, so you're...more
Podunk tourists and ghetto locals are what you will experience firsthand when traveling through South beach. The glamorous days of movie stars and fashion icons ended almost two decades ago. The entire strip is riddled with the worst class of predators in the form of...More
Lots of options to rent with little ones. We were able to rent a large beach bed with cabana that was great for the babies to nap on. Public restrooms and restaurants at the street. We hung out between 6th and 7th street with very...More

We very much enjoyed staying in a fairly residential area South of Fifth (on Euclid) back in October. The beach was just a couple of blocks away - a very easy stroll even carrying chairs and back packs. We had a pool but only ended up taking one short dip. So much was within walking distance. We loved it! Do your research when it comes to restaurants and bars. There are plenty of excellent, affordable places to visit. Some of our best meals were had at Las Olas, a tiny dive of a place that's been around forever. The worst was at a pretty, touristy spot that had been on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dive. Driving and parking around Miami were a breeze! Again, a little foresight paves the way to an enjoyable adventure
