South Beach was busy and lively. My family and I enjoyed walking around and people watching. There are many restaurants along the way, and the beach is beautiful.

Podunk tourists and ghetto locals are what you will experience firsthand when traveling through South beach. The glamorous days of movie stars and fashion icons ended almost two decades ago. The entire strip is riddled with the worst class of predators in the form of...More

Lots of options to rent with little ones. We were able to rent a large beach bed with cabana that was great for the babies to nap on. Public restrooms and restaurants at the street. We hung out between 6th and 7th street with very...More

This beach is beautiful, the sand is white and it is very big. There are tons of volleyball nets and an outdoor gym. We came here twice before we went on a cruise and when we got off the boat. It's very close by I...More

Miami - south beach - is really to die for! The beach is huge and all you need is sun and good weather to enjoy walking, sunbathing or diving into the ocean! Amazing!

Not like it used to be, but still worth a visit if you do no mind battling your way through the throngs of tourists everywhere.

Visited after Christmas and the weather was windy and cooler. Stayed at the Marriott Stanton on points. A fun boutique hotel The is located on the beach by a park, so it felt quieter than other Ocean Dr locations. I loved my morning walks on...More

Hi Everyone....totally confused right now. There are 4 of us heading to Miami in Feb, but we are so confused as to where to stay. Our ages range is 48 to 22. We have been looking at the Colony, Starlite and accommodation in and around that area, but we have also been looking at The Seagull and Tradewinds further North. Never been before and hearing all sorts of different stories from people about the expense of it all etc. Can you walk from Mid Beach to South Beach and is there the average bars and restaurants that the normal working class person can go to. We all love the Boats etc. Our accommodation budget is around the 1200 - 1300 for the week and we will all be staying in the same room. Sorry for the long question, but at the minute just so so confused. Want the best of both worlds I think :) Thank you in advance for any help. I think I really need to get accommodation booked at this stage.

We parked in a public garage on 17th St I think, just around the corner from the pedestrian shopping area, the "Lincoln" mall area.
