Being free (and smaller than other gardens in the area) shouldn't imply this is a lesser experience- this is one beautiful garden. I enjoyed an early morning stroll while waiting for other area attractions to open- arriving early was to my advantage as parking in the area looked as though it could become problematic later in the day. A beautiful oasis in the middle of a city!

I enjoyed my visit to this botanical garden! I'd wanted to go for quite some time, and my hotel (Kimpton Palomar South Beach), was walking distance away. It was as billed--a small, beautiful garden. There was so much variety, including things known as desert plants (Adenium Obesum, Desert Rose) and agave, growing in Miami's humidity and frequent rain. An avid gardener from the Southwest, I learned some things! There are a few plants for sale in the gift shop and around their nursery area. I wish they'd had more. It's worth a visit.

The garden was within walking distance from our hotel. There were a few entrances along the canal to get in. What a beautiful little garden! They had few water features, Japanese garden, little trails, restrooms and little boutique that sold few drinks and things. Dogs are allowed on lease, they accept donations and the best part, it’s free!! You can also follow the canal path right out to the Holocaust Memorial which is also free and very touching.

This is a free experience in downtown Miami Beach. It’s ok but not as nice as one might imagine. There was a lot of construction going on in the outer area of the gardens and constant beeping of the vehicles in backup mode. Several paths were blocked off due to this construction. Also they were obviously refurbishing some of the garden because they had plantings in black plastic pots spread out as if reading to plant. We went in mid September and there were a few things blooming. There were a few fountains making a pleasant water noise but you could barely hear it over the beeping. Some benches and tables and chairs were scattered about making it possible to sit in shady areas and relax. They have turtles and koi. They have clean nice restrooms and a small gift shop that has cold water, soda and coffee for sale. Also a bottle refill water fountain outside the shop. We spent about 30 minutes wandering around. It is a pretty little garden but not worth a great effort to get there. If you are in the area it is worth popping in for a stroll. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to get there.
