As you walk the area you can just imagine it in the 1930's. With 800 structures of historical significance, most built between 1923 and 1943. The fanciful pastel buildings, with porthole windows, ship-like railings, sleek curves, glass blocks, shiny chrome, and gleaming terrazzo floors are prime eye candy. The area was well known as the district where Italian fashion designer... More

Great place to people watch. There are many, many restaurants and bars. In South Beach there are many really cool hotels too. Just stroll in and peek.

What a treasure in South Beach. To think they wanted to tear it down in 1970. America needs to preserve its architecture. Wonderful buildings, great scenery and a true treasure In Miami. Spend the day strolling down ocean boulevard, have a cocktail at one of the legendary bistro hotels cafes. Reminisce of being in simpler times, unwind and enjoy. Some... More

These can be seen and combined with a walk down Ocean Drive and the three roads parallel to it. All in immaculate condition. One of the best aspects of South Beach

In Miami, there is a whimsical feel through... More

It is along Ocean Drive where you can find the heart of the largest collection of art deco buildings right here in South Beach. It is the best place to go shopping, dining, and hanging out with friends at a club. I was born with this whole collection of art deco buildings for 19 years. This is a place I... More
