Every time I come to South Beach I make a point of attending one of the fabulous movies showing at this fabulous little find. They are always Sundance Festival films, foreign, or have one or two awards. Some are in English, some have subtitles, but all of them have touched me and the experience is unforgettable. Red velvet curtains are... More

Great locals spot! Housed in the historic city hall on Washington next to the Miami Beach police dept building. Always playing art house films, indie style and independent or foreign films. Nice date night.

A huge addition to Miami Beach which was lacking in independent and foreign cinema. The man that runs the theater, Dana Keith, truly has a passion for and an extensive knowledge of film. Movies are shown in digital projection in a charming theater housed in the historic city hall building. I am a regular and a proud member of this... More

great indy movies. prices seem a little steep but worth it to put the $$ back into the non profit arena. they moved from espanola to wash ave at the old city hall some time back. great place for historians.

Adore the old building and Dana always have an amazing collection of films to choose from. Memorabilia vitrines are awsome to browse and the old poster and books. Aldo do not miss the brownies!!!

A bit expensive, but well worth a visit especially after a long days walking and now you can relax in a creative atmosphere.

Finally a locale in Miami where you can meet educated people with much to discuss and share. The theater is very intimate and very cozy. No alcohol unfortunately but very posh yet for a low cost.

Around 11th, half a dozen blocks south of the heart of the tourist activities is a wonderful art cinema that shows a full, heavy rotation of art, foreign and festival films. It's located in the historic city hall building with a screening room, small gallery, and cafe. An unexpected and terrific asset of SoBe.

Foreign award winning movies tucked behind red velvet curtains & covered benches with sick throw pillows...enjoy an espresso or gourmet dark chocolate while watching a film you won't see anywhere else! A real treat.
