We went with friends to the Icehouse and saw "Run for Your Wife," a truly well-done farce. The theatre itself is appealing: affordable, attractively decorated, and an intimate size. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and tickets for the entire season are less...More

I went with a group to see the play "Run for your Wives" and it was a comedy that made one laugh non-stop. This little community theater showcases musicals and regular plays and has been doing this since 1958. The actors and actresses are professionals...More

THe play was wonderful. The theatre was small but very pretty and clean. Plenty of parking and friendly staff.

First of all...do not pay any attention to seating chart....you can see from any location!! Small venue with incredibly designed sets. No its not Broadway...however, the talent, the production the overall feel is worth every penny. Definitely a great option for this small quaint town

You've got a phenomenal community theater/ right here in Mt Dora! Wiil I ever tell you?--ah yes! I saw Meredith Willson's, The Music Man (July 14-Aug 6, 2017), and cannot give a stronger recommendation to try and take it in. This cast and director obviously...More

We've attended a few productions at the Sonnentag Theater and it is a nice venue. They have a very good production company. The set for the Battle of Shallowford was exceptional and the cast was very good. The theater does need to upgrade their audio...More

We just say the Battle of Shallowford at the Icehouse, and it was okay. I think it's fine for locals, but I drone 1.5 hours to Mount Dora. I compared it to the theaters in nearby Winter Garden and Gainesville I couldn't say it was...More

The set deftly delivers the audience to a rural time and an "ago" place with plenty of room for the audience to participate with their embellishments in the illusion. The set dressed with skillful restraint . With the masterful lighting, there is no doubt that...More

Went to a matinee to see "Don't Dress for Dinner" at this delightful community theater. Every seat was good. The stage setting was very professional and the actors were superb. We haven't laughed so much at a play in a long time. Very well done.

Saw The Man of La Mancha and was VERY impressed! The building, itself, is very beautiful and well appointed. The theater set was FANTASTIC--probably the best I have even seen in a community theater and rivaling those I have seen on broadway. Don Quixote's voice...More

All the seats are in well view of the performance. We sat in the back row and the volume and view were excellent. They have a snack bar. The theater is quaint and worth the visit.
