Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited twice in one week. The first time we parked in the lot at the entrance to the Bear’s Paw Country Club and walked the upper loop. The second time we parked at the Naples Zoo and walked the lower stretch of trail which emerges at the Naples Airport. The entrance at the zoo is poorly-marked. Drive past the “carport-like” parking for the Zoo and the entrance to the trail is way at the back. Very lovely serene walk along the boardwalk and sidewalk over the river! It would be nice if the bicyclists would travel a little slower. It’s not a raceway. Can’t wait to go back!

First time visiting Gordon river Greenway Park since relocating to Naples from NY. Took my daughter's here for the day on a Sunday and they had the best time. Between the wildlife, walking trails and playground they were entertained the whole day. Whether you are local to Southwest Florida or just on vacation I highly recommend a trip to this park.

This trail is very easy and accessible-but, if you start walking, kind of “never ending “: keeps on going though it’s many beautiful sections.
Beautifully designed path alternates between comfortable boardwalks and asphalt road with unpaved trails branching off. One arm of the trail goes to the Naples Zoo .
The trail surrounding nature is gorgeous and the route crosses Gordon river . There are places to rest. Maps along the way allow for easy reorientaton. Plant life is explained and marked. You can fish in many spots along the way, just not from the bridge. Good place to observe mangroves habitat and giant ferns. The path goes also near the Naples airport and reaches the beautifully landscaped Bakers Park. The view towards Old Naples from the high point of the Bakers Park is magnificent.
The Greenway is about 12 miles long all together, someone told us. It definitely one of those destinations the entire family can keep revisiting again and again.

Quite a popular activity here, although you will also find lots of families going for strolls, joggers, and kids on scooters.
There are two entrances. The first one is off of Golden Gate Pkwy and it is the one we use the most. The second entrance is from the Naples Zoo parking lot. In this entrance you will also see a kids playground.
From either entrance, the walk begins as a boardwalk that is nice and shady for the most part. There are a couple of benches along the way. They intersect and continue until they end in the paved portion.

Decided to try this 2.5 mile bike/walking path in Naples and glad we did! During the week on a beautiful March day there were only a handful of cars parked in the lots. The trails are a combination of wide paved paths and boardwalks. Mostly level. We rode small portable e-bikes and it was a blast! We encountered a good-sized Gopher Tortoise and found a pond full of egrets, wood storks and other birds. Ended up by the Naples Airport and beyond that, Baker Park. The path goes over the Gordon River. There are shaded rest spots with benches. Rest rooms. Easy to get to from I-75.

What a nice place to take a walk where it is safe this is the spot. rollerblade, bike, run, or just walk flat surface make a perfect place to get in exercise. During this time you may even be able to let your mask down. Commune with nature.

Clean and comfortable walk on paved trails but unsettling to walk the narrow dirt trails with bikes whizzing by close and quick.
Not great birding, however, the possibility of a long walk with shade, benches and pretty views.
Our first time but definitely a place to return to ...again and again.

This is a scenic walkway pretty close to downtown Naples. Leashed dogs allowed and you can get a 2.6 miles walk in pretty easily. Some is via a paved road and some via wooden planks/bridges over greenery. The only distracting issue were the bikes whizzing by on both paths. They have a jungle gym/kids' playground at the zoo entrance. Beautiful nature trail for dog walking. Only thing that would improve the trail would be doggie poop bags and water station for the dogs.

The Greenway has got to be one of the best things you can do in Naples that won’t cost you a penny! Well OK, if you want to rent a bike to ride it’s wide new boardwalks it will cost you the rental price, but you can walk it (run it) just as well, as most people do.
The Greenway is primarily accessed through the same parking lot that serves the Naples Zoo except you’ll want to park closer to the back of the lot which makes entrance to the Greenway easier. The Greenway is a relatively new idea built by the City which takes the boardwalk concept and snakes it over both swampy land and the Gordon River.
The boardwalk is wide enough to share with bikes, baby carriages, walkers and runners. You simply have to be aware that everyone is sharing limited space and be careful and cooperative with one another. Most everyone is very friendly on the Greenway and a hello or a nod is a common greeting.
It’s not too long of a trail (around 1 1/2 miles?) so it doesn’t really attract the long distance runners or bikers but it’s a nice, natural and safe pathway and an attractive side ride for some. A recent path opening around the backside of the path makes it a little longer and more challenging (and fun) to complete the whole journey.
One of the nicer aspects of the Greenway is it’s central location to a few other attractions that will cost you, but are well worth considering while you’re here n Naples. One is the Naples Zoo which is worth the price of admission, and the other is the Naples Conservancy which will take you on an interesting and instructive boat ride on the Gordon River itself. One last “freebie” introduced on the Greenway is at the very backside of the pathway you will find the Naples Airport. They have a nice bleacher set up there where you can watch and listen to the many private jets coming and going. If you pick the right days, you can even see the vintage WW II planes take off and land.
So why are you waiting? Get going on the Greenway!

This is a new elevated walkway thru the Gordon River wetlands.
Rating is excellent to get you out. The walkway itself isn't too long ... say round trip just over a mile. Wildlife is depending on you to see, time taken to see, time of day, noise around. Easy stroll, great to chat with companion(s), nice to see the interior wetland of what we see on Naples roads as we pass by them. Connects to a asphalt path heading south to Naples Airport. Ample parking spots provided at both ends -- northend on Golden Gate Pkwy diagonally across from Freedom Park, & southend in betw Naples Zoo & Bot Gardens. Look for brown sign 'Greenwayh'. Benches available too to sit and reflect.

Can I have a doggy birthday party At the entrance picnic table area! Just cake & drinks??
Written 6 November 2017
It is not private property. I cannot imagine why not. Dogs are abundant on the Greenway. My only suggestion would be to keep dogs on leash or at least contained. Other dog owners get a little grumpy when their dogs are leashed and other unleashed dogs rush at them. POST PHOTOS! 🎂🎉🎊💥🎂

Do they rent bikes for those of us who can't bring ours with us?
Written 17 April 2017
No bike rental at the Greenway. Sounds like a good business idea.

In distance maybe 1.5 miles, depending on what you see and how many pictures you take, maybe 1 hiour.
