Entrance fee was about $5. We got there about 9:45am and there was still plenty of parking near the visitor center. We went inside and saw all the exhibits and waited a few minutes for the guided Ranger tour. As it turned out we were the only ones in our tour so it was like having a private guide of... More

We have hiked the nature trails and explored the visitor centre, where volunteers discuss the environmental issues facing Florida with excellent displays. This time it was a green flag day with calm weather and the kayaks beckoned. We grabbed our paddles, life jackets and double canoe (singles available). We paddled through the estuary, under the bridge at Jack Nicklaus Drive... More

Stumbled on this park, paid the 5$ entry and were very impressed. Good facilities, great boardwalk for watching animals, nature trail that educates about local flora, free tram with friendly and informative operator, and raw beautiful unspoiled beach. Also, lots of picnic benches to eat at.

We had some time to kill before a flight so we traveled here for a walk. All park employees were very friendly. The trail and bridge were well maintained. Very nice walk! We walked to the beach which seemed nice but we didn't do any activities there.

Pleasant walk out to the beach on the boardwalk. There is also a shuttle that goes back and forth regularly. Nature at it's best! The nature trail was interesting. We saw so many different birds, fish jumping out of the water, weird spiders. The beach was nice. Very few people there.

Great walk across the lagoon to the beach. Free shuttle service available if you have too much to carry. Nature Center has nice exhibits on local flora and fauna.

Nature trails, water experiences and swimming are available here. Reasonable entry fee (mainly for parking). A great nature center and knowledgeable guides highlight. You can rent Kayaks for an even better experience. Sunset is in the west and not the best (compared to sunrises)
