I went with a group of friends from different riding and driving disciplines. We all enjoyed the morning visiting farms which were extensive and immaculate. Our guide really knew the area and clearly has a great relationship with the farm owners.

If you really love horses, this is the tour for you. Our guide was very knowledgeable. In some places we spent a little too much time as we rushed thru some of the more interesting venues. But we saw some magnificent horses and were able to feed and pet some of the younger ones. If you have not driven by... More

Very interesting, our guide gave us a lot of info about the different breeds of horses and the history of the farms. She took us to two farms and an exercise track. The owner of a breeding farm gave us a tour of the facilities and we saw a couple foals only a day old, several stallions, along with a... More

Unique opportunity for horse people and non-horse people to go behind the scenes of the competitive horse industry. The guide (Karen) is both knowledgeable and entertaining. At one of the farms we were fortunate to interact with the staff, the owner and even the vet, they were wonderful, obliging and you really get a feel for their passion for horses.... More

This is a nice tour, but we did find it a little short on horses. Most of the time was spent in the van driving, with a few minutes of feeding horses in the stalls. It was interesting to see just how big a business horses are in this area. Such a beautiful area and the farms are incredible.

I am truly sorry the Tour was not up to you expectations. Marion County is 1600 Sq miles and the farms that allow access to the public are spread out. When I started Farm Tours of Ocala, my main objective was to not have people looking out the window at horses and farms. I and my guide Diane are very... More

What a treat! Our guide, Karen, spent the morning driving our small group to several locations. We started at the track, watching a few horses being exercised. From there, we went to an Arabian horse farm and met some horses. We were then driven to a breeding farm, and finished the morning at HITS watching a little show jumping. Karen... More
