- Louise MCastle Rock, Colorado3,604 contributionsLots of things to do that don't require waiting in line.Disney Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite Disney parks. It is slightly less crowded than the others even though we went during spring break. We were able to navigate our way through and got on all of the rides we wanted to although wait times were long, especially for Avatar: Flight of Passage. This park tends to have more things that you can explore in between rides, like the Boneyard, Rafiki's Conservation Station, Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and Maharaja Jungle Trek. These are great for the kids who can't take a day of standing in line. It is a lot of money for a ticket and they always oversell the amount of tickets, so it is difficult to get on enough rides to get your money's worth.Visited March 2023Written 18 March 2023
- rcp148Belleville, Canada214 contributionsGood Family Visit to Animal KingdomWe enjoyed our 5th visit to the Animal Kingdom park in January 2023. Our favourite attractions were Flight of Passage, The Kilimanjaro Safari and Expedition Everest. This is a large park and a lot of walking is required. It is necessary to carefully plan your route to save steps.Visited January 2023Written 19 March 2023
- NiceHotelSeekerChapleau, Canada58 contributionsDefinitely worth goingI absolutely loved this park. You felt like you were in Africa and Nepal. The food was fantastic and we loved being there. Genie pass worked much better here except for Avatar Flight of Passage. I was able to get the River Adventure but the other was impossible as it opened to in resort guests first. A few highlights - the Lion King Show is a must, moved the safari and we enjoyed the avatar world and the Yeti coaster. The water ride was closed for maintenance. Great entertainment and music. The Dino part was the only part I felt I could have skipped but the Dinsosaur ride was ok. I’d go back in a hot second.Visited February 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 March 2023
- D & JoIndianapolis, Indiana3 contributionsThe King Has Returned!Another great park! We went on a single day pass no children. Once again, I highly advise getting there once the gates open and don’t forget to utilize any shuttle services your resort provides. This park is very clean and the detail in amazing! It’s no wonder visitors from all over flock to visit these parks! Due to my heart condition we only rode the Avatar river ride and went on the safari tour. We beat the lines on both and both experiences were fantastic. The animals are more likely out and about in the cool morning hours so we got eyes on quite a few including the king of the jungle! Express passes are always an option if you have the money as wait times get longer throughout the day. Prices are expensive across all parks for food and drinks. Plan for a whole day start to finish to complete this park. Don’t forget to stop and watch the animal shows if you time things just right! Proper planning and organization will set you up for success! Have fun!Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 March 2023
- Nick WTell City, Indiana471 contributionsTake AdvantageI think Animal Kingdom is underrated. There is so much to do and learn here that sometimes people miss it. The Festival of the Lion King show is back and fantastic. We liked the Kali River Rapids ride and Safari of course. The jungle trek was good too, seeing the tigers. It is near the exit to the rapids ride. We also like the Dinosaur ride, and just the overall feel of the park. We didn’t even venture into Pandora this time.Visited March 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 March 2023
- busybee2775Brooklyn, New York162 contributionsPeaceful and educationalMore of a beautiful and an educational zoo than a rides park. It is simply gorgeous and set up in interesting areas: Africa, Asia, Dinosaur, Pandora. The best part is the train that takes you to Conservation land and ani animation studio. Drawing with an animator and checking out vet surgery in real time was up my alley and my 9 yo. The park is especially great when you don’t live near a good zoo. We do, so we didn’t partake in safari ride. As far as the rides, Everest was the best and worth the wait. My family waited for the white river one and enjoyed it. Dinosaur one was good too. As far as the waits, we decided to forgo Genie + for this park as it isn’t as ride heavy and it was just fine. Food was def better than in MK . We got ours in Asia. Water fountains and bathrooms are plentiful so highly recommend to bring your hydroflasks etc and keep filling them up, even if water does taste disgusting in Orlando.Visited March 2023Travelled with familyWritten 29 March 2023
- Joe ARock Hill, South Carolina68 contributionsNice park but not worth my time (wait)I would’ve given this a 5 star rating were it not for the extraordinary inconvenience of standing in line for over 3 hours for the Safari experience which they stated had a wait time of 100 minutes. It was actually more like 200 minutes and totally drained the life out of me. After that it was downhill from there. Prices have become too expensive for the options they have for you there.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 5 April 2023
- Jena NStitzer, Wisconsin129 contributionsWe enjoyed it. Be sure to give yourself all day here. There are a few rides here, which is what kept our teenage son interested in the park. My favorite was the Na'vi River Journey. The rest of the family enjoyed the Everest roller coaster and the Avatar Flight of Passage rides the best. We did have to stand in line from 30-60 minutes per ride. But, in the end we were glad we did because the rides were fun. Also, we felt a little old to go into the Bug's Life 3D theater show...but we were so glad we did! It was only a 10 minute wait and there are great effects and things on our seat moved and surprised us and we were laughing so hard by the end. Even if you're older, do not miss this one! It was also a long wait for the Safari ride, but we enjoyed that also. While there were a ton of people here, the general walking around areas did not get annoying. You could keep walking through/around the people smoothly. My advice: plan all day here due to the amount of time it takes to get on the rides. We were there 8 hours and that's is WITHOUT going to any type of shows they have there (aside from Bugs Life).Visited March 2023Written 8 April 2023
- Shanker BAlpharetta, Georgia1,227 contributionsWorld of Natural WonderWe love DAK. Its one of our favorite parks. Its a lot of walking but its exotic and fun. Our experience was awesome - we had Genie + and the ILL for Avatar Flight of Passage (which is one of the best rides i have ever done). The Navi River and Kilimanjaro safari was something my 5 year old loved. And my son did Expedition Everest Twice and Dinosaur twice. We had an amazing time at the park - we loved the Lion King Show and Its tough being a bug. Only thing we did not like was the Finding Nemo show..Visited April 2023Written 10 April 2023
- bbainsLeicester, United Kingdom12 contributionsThis park is amazing my favourite out of them allAbsolutely loved this park. The way you go from country to country is brilliant. The avatar ride is just unbelievable - you have to go on it when your there. Pandora area is out of this world. So much detail it’s unreal. The safari was like people in Africa - soooo good and up close to the animals . The lion king show was brilliant and we met Minnie and Mickie too. Yes we brought the genie plus passes - you have to if you want some ease to the day . Just loved itVisited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 April 2023

The rides were fun, and the Safari Trip was cool. Fun atmosphere overall. Food and drinks are way too expensive. The food I had was TERRIBLE!! We bought food at two locations, one restaurant and one stand. The corn was mushy, the orange chicken tasted as if it had been freezer burned and heated up. Poor quality food for the expensive prices! Entrance cost to the park is not a good value in my opinion.

Animal Kingdom is such a wonderful park! This was the last Disney World park that we hadn't been to together and we were excited to finally visit it. The park opens and closes earlier than the other parks because of the animals, so we got in early and were able to go on the safari early before it got too hot. Corra, the new baby elephant, was on the tour and she was just the cutest little elephant. The safari was great overall and it was so nice to see all of the animals. The rides are also very fun and we really enjoyed Expedition Everest and the Avatar Flight of Passage in particular. The animal treks were lovely and it was a nice change of pace to basically casually stroll through a zoo versus running from ride to ride.
Food and drinks at Animal Kingdom are fantastic and we loved the watermelon lemonade and mango-passioonfruit cheesecake at Harambe Market, Rum Blossom cocktail and Mo'ara margarita at Pongu Pongu, Prickly pear margarita at Dawa Bar, and everything at Tiffins. Animal Kingdom is a great hybrid of amusement park and zoo and it's one we will definitely visit again!

As with all of Disneyworld parks we visited in Florida, rides were broken down. Unless you like waiting for two hours and then being escorted out because the ride is not serviceable then Disney is for you. I think that Disney at the very least for Animal kingdom owes a full refund as you could not get on any rides total fail and staff didn't care. We used Genie plus and fast passed the lines at all the parks which was expensive but well worth it. Universal Studios though smashes Disney 100% and everything was working.

This was our first time to visit Animal Kingdom and I was underwhelmed....
*but my daughter (12) LOVED it. It was basically an overpriced zoo. Thank goodness we bought the park hopper because we left after 3.5 hours to go to Magic Kingdom. I would have been very upset if I paid for a one day ticket and wasted all that money on Animal Kingdom.

The safari truck ride was excellent! We were able to view a number of animals and get pictures. We also rode the Yeti coaster, which was the most intense ride I have experienced at a Disney park. The Avatar ride was also a riveting experience!

The last time we visited Animal Kingdom was 2015. 2024 and it was still a great experience. Helpful guest services reps and have the whole parking your car and getting through the entrance gate’s down to a T.

Disney is very overpriced for what you get. My party arrived by 9:00 am and spent at about 9 hours there. We were able to do about 4 rides and two shows in that time. Two of the main rides we were looking forward to going on were not operating during that time. The lines are over an hour wait each. You can pay extra for "lightning lanes" but that can only be used three times during the day. We spent approx. $170 per ticket and I definitely feel that the day was NOT worth the money spent. Very disappointed in the day.

Animal Kingdom is awesome and is so much more than just an amusement park. It is also one of the best zoological parks in the country and Disney does a great job of intertwining both. Some of the best rides in all of Disney are here including Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest. With the exception of DinoLand USA, the theming throughout the park is outstanding. You would think you're on a real savannah in Kenya rather than Central Florida while on Kilimanjaro Safaris. As with all the Disney parks, arrive early 30-40 minutes before rope drop and have a plan. Head to Avatar or Expedition Everest as your first ride followed by Kilimanjaro Safaris and then use Genie + and Lightening Lanes throughout the day. Remember that Expedition Everest has a single rider line that can save you much wait time.

Photo pass / memory maker was a complete farce… we kept getting other people’s photos, which meant other people were getting ours - and we were super worried that the people getting ours would post them online trying to find us and reunite us with the pictures… the issue is we have an adopted son with a protection order. The photo team at the exit were great and we had a caste of 5 trying to help get the photos deleted from other people’s apps, which they eventually did - but it was a complete disaster and we wasted over an hour trying to sort it, but they did help us track down all missing photos… but I wish I hadn’t wasted $75 dollars on it twice…
The park itself was pretty good, not too busy, but still massive queues, up to 2 hours for some rides, more gift shops that rides, 2 rides were broken down, no characters walking around the park.
The grounds were lovely and the attractions were good, but we noticed how bored/uninterested the crew members were - their speeches on the safari, and other rides were routine, boring, unenthusiastic and really disappointing.

Hola.

Does Pandora still have that place in the gift shop where they can make the Avatar dolls that look like you? We’re headed there soon. Thanks.

They didn't let us really hang around in the gift show in the COVID conditions in May. The relaxation of rules started a few weeks after that. We did build druids at Star Wars, but that was by appointment only.

Así es, debes hacer la reserva al comprar tus tickets, los cuales se cargan en la App de My Disney Experiencie. Si no lo haces no podrás entrar, ya que controlan el aforo de esa manera.

I would say so if you enjoy fantastic theming and immersive lands that feels like you are really looking at architecture and other environmental features from the representative regions but with a Disney flavor. There are a few rides that you may be able to enjoy such as Navii river journey. There are hidden walking trails and if you can take the time to sit down and take it all in, there are little spots around the park that are quite inviting. Once its dark, Pandora really comes to life! If shows are available, there is an incredible bird show with live flying birds, and Nemo was a fantastic show with dedicated performers with some musical numbers included that are not in the movie (plus climate control! And sitting!). The safari is a little jostling, nothing crazy, but use discretion there.
Its a fair bit of walking to see it all, but it can be broken into manageable chunks.

Yes. I would only consider the dinosaur ride as scary.
