Amazing day, but just too crowded
We had a fabulous day at Discovery Cove. We met Aries the dolphin which was amazing, Kevin and Hannah were our trainers, both friendly and knowledgeable. Food and drink choice was pretty good given it was mass catering. Rating is 4 star as it was just too crowded for something that you pay a premium for. There was a hygiene incident in the reef pool which took a long time to deal with, not the fault of DC as obviously everything needs to be clean before the public get into the pool, but it led to crowds in the lazy river in the morning and then the reef pool was very crowded when it eventually reopened. The photos were brilliant but SO expensive!

Still had a fab day after returning 7 years later
We had a really nice day, breakfast & lunch was soooo tasty.. so impressed with all the food & drinks included in the price! Nice lazy river, bird avery visit, swam with stingrays/fish all snorkels & life jackets provided! We booked a swim with dolphins, amazing for our kids to experience and we bought 6 photos at unfortunately 160 dollars. But you must go here if in Orlando, it’s worth every penny!!

Great for a day away from the parks
Been visiting since 2002, most things had got worse over the years, food, no free photo, shorter dolphin swims. We now just book the day resort with Seaworld, aquatica & Busch gardens included. Food choices have improved dramatically both breakfast and lunch having a lot more choice and looking more appealing too. It’s still, by far, the most chilled and relaxing day of our holiday.

    Amazing
I am a grandmother (73 years old) that did not care to be involved with any water activities. One reason I cannot swim among others. My daughter purchased the ticket for me to visit Discovery Cove. I was not looking forward to this visit at all. Well let me tell you it was beyond awesome. To watch my grandkids, play, swim, very helpful staff, food being fantastic and the ambience excellent. We plan on visiting again, I loved it so much. Can't swim but tried snorkeling what an experience that was. For those in doubt don't be, it's a great vacation destination.

    Best day EVER!
The Swim with the dolphins was amazing, also swimming around the reef was magical, when we arrived we were greeted by Barbara, she took time to give us the inside track on what to do and where to go, she checked in with our family several times during the day. This wonderful woman made all the difference, and she spoke in such high regard about the way discover y cove have treated her as an employee, she was a joy to be around, a real asset to the park. Sending big hugs to our new friend x.

    It was a wonderful Day
As you walk in you are surrounded by the beauty of this place. We arrived around 7:45 the line went quickly and staff was very friendly. We had a wonderful breakfast when we got there and 9:00 we went right to the birds to feed them knowing they would be hungry it was amazing as they land on your head we had a lot of fun there. 9:20 we went and watched the flamingo walk. From there we went and got our vest and Anna is so friendly which she was running around all day with a smile. 10:00 was time for swimming with the dolphins we loved it but it goes very quickly and not real much interaction with the one we had. Not sure how I feel about this, although the pictures were great, pricey but great. Maybe for our protection they do not let you interact as much as we would of liked. We snorkeled, very cool, and had a soft pretzel and warm chocolate chip cookies, which are amazing. We then went on the lazy river which is AMAZING. Then around 1:45 we went and had lunch. The 4 of us where very happy with our meal. I had the coconut salmon with pineapple sauce which was very very good. This place is very well laid out and seemed that there was more space than people. I would suggest water shoes or sandals as the sand gets hot. We all enjoyed ourselves and could not believe how fast time goes. Although it is very expensive we are glad we went. And the day we went the price dropped a lot. Which is the game they play. Otters we watched them interact and where fed which was cool as you sit in the water and watch them through the glass. We had a wonderful time and as mentioned the staff was very friendly and helpful and just a fun day. You will be taking a lot of pictures.

All inclusive resort with plenty to do and eat.
All inclusive resort with plenty to do with the kids. It is a part of SeaWorld and mostly all of the activities are included in your price. There are some experiences you have to pay extra for, but with that is include there is plenty to do. We had a very relaxing and fun day. My daughter had a blast swimming and playing in the sand. Highly recommended and will visit again in the future.

    Do it!
Family of 4 with 9 and 14 yo boys. Everyone had a great time. It is fun but relaxing. We paid the extra and did the dolphin experience and our report time was 910. So, we did it and then had the rest of the day to enjoy the rest of the park. Food is included (it was ok). Better than having to do the typical theme park search for what everyone wanted. Snacks and drinks also included and no long lines for them. We arrived early for breakfast and to get our gear and stayed until closing.

This is a must-do for a relaxing day and a break from parks. We didn't do the dolphin swim as we have done it before, it's an amazing experience but we wanted more time to spend snorkelling. The reef is my absolute favourite, I love the rays and all of the different fish, it's so beautiful. The food was fabulous. The only reason I have given 4/5 is because even though the number of guests is capped, it was the first time it has felt crowded. So crowded that I struggled to swim around the river without getting stuck behind crowds of people. We wanted a break from crowds but unfortunately it seems that too many people were let in, which made this day less relaxing than expected. Other than that, it's a lovely place.

Our family had an amazing day at Discovery Cove and was the highlight of our trip ( included SeaWorld and Magic Kingdom). The dolphins experience was incredible and our family also loved the reef. Swimming with the fish and rays was exciting and semi-terrifying at times. Definitely a unique set of experiences that we all enjoyed. Our family also loves lazy rivers and the heated water and scenery made it great. The expensive dolphin pictures were the one thing we never expected to purchase and annoyingly we did because we wanted to remember and share the experience ( would have considered a photo package ahead of time). Overall, we loved our visit and leaving time came too soon.

It really is an amazing place to visit. Food is exceptional. Highlight for me was the snorkelling in the coral reef. The pools are heated and the place is clean. Loved it here it’s a must do

Excellent day but a couple of small downsides.

We enjoyed a lovely day at Discovery Cove with our children. The day started with easy parking and check in before we went to have breakfast. We had booked a dolphin swimming experience and arrived at around 8.15 which gave us a 12.55 swim slot with the dolphins.

The set up is all inclusive and there is plentiful food and drink centres around the main buffet restaurant but also at various bars dotted around the resort. The food was varied and even the standard package was good - you could upgrade for premium cocktails etc but we didn’t as that wasn’t the kind of day we had planned.

To give you an example of the food on offer, for breakfast we had juice, coffee, waffles, yoghurt, eggs and bacon and fruit between us four. There were plenty more choices besides. For lunch between us we covered salmon, a burger, a chicken stew and pulled pork followed by chocolate brownies with soft drinks. You could get ice cream, crisps and nuts from the snack bars and I saw people with pizza slices too. To be honest you’ll be so busy you’re unlikely to be able to make use of all the food & drink!!

The dolphin experience was great if a little staged. They didn’t rush you and it was a highlight but the photo prices are utterly ridiculous with the cheapest digital option at $249 (!!) and the cheapest print option being $40 for a single print photo 6 by 8. The dolphin experience lasted around 30 minutes in a group of 9 to 10 people. The ladies running it were highly knowledgeable and made it fun and special for our children.

The “lazy river” is dangerous for anyone who isn’t a strong swimmer as it’s very deep in places and the currents are erratic. Life vests a must for kids IMHO and use a green float if in doubt! The bird feeding at the aviary is neat and accessed via this river (through two very forceful waterfalls). They were understaffed so no otter access and we didn’t see any marmosets.

The Great Reef is fun with or without snorkels. You can view the fish and various stingrays from the shallows or swim out / snorkel the saltwater pool. Some of the rays are very big and might take you by surprise! They give you basic snorkels and masks. Not brilliant but ok. I wish I’d known you can get prescription masks!! Doh! It was pretty busy and I did wonder about (a) the level of contact on the creatures which seemed a LOT and (b) the removal of their stings which I guess is necessary for this whole caper to work… Also watch out for very slippery rocks and sudden changes in depth.

Water was warm in the river, a little less warm in the reef and cooler in the dolphin experience but all fine and you get a wetsuit if you want one (or a wetsuit vest if you prefer). There are free sunscreen dispensers all over. It’s very thick stuff and you’ll look like a ghost if you wear it but it’s animal friendly.

It was easy to find a lounger but there are limited lockers so if getting one is important head there quickly. The changing facilities are very clean, spacious and amenities were provided though the conditioner had run out and there are no hair dryers. Perfectly good
set up with ample towels and bags for wet stuff.

Fun time with family. Overall a great day at the park except for some miscues by staff with guest service. Won’t go into it as it’s a minor thing but as someone who works in hospitality and Guest Service can’t give a 5 bubble when staff just didn’t care enough to fix a simple mistake.

AMAZING. Can't wait to go back. My entire family loved this. The snorkeling in the salt water lagoon and the dolphin swim were the major highlights but the island feel and the float river just made the whole day.

This is no doubt one of the most amazing places. Even compared to all parks in Orlando, this one is no doubt one to beat. We were family of 10, ages 5 to 80 and everyone had the most amazing day. We all could do dolphin experience together, which was way better then we expected, longer and more interaction then what I thought it will be. The pool with other fish and stingrays also exceeded my expectations that ware not low by the way. We as bird lovers also enjoyed aviary where you can hand feed all birds. If it was up to me, I would just add more parrots ... way way more parrots :).
Lazy river was also amazing, very good that water was warm, I loved it went under / inside the aviary and how it was protected by waterfalls each side for birds not to escape.
We were very lucky to get amazing deal at Black Friday sale.

My wife and I paid for a VIP experience with the cabana and personal assistant for our three girls and us. Every upgrade was worth it for the amazing experiences we made swimming with dolphins, sharks, and stingrays!

…OH and request Ally! She was awesome as our personal assistant!

I booked a visit directly through discovery cove for during spring break and paid $1350 for 3 people for a basic one day package. A few days before, I got an email about a promotion and checked the dates a found out the same day was now over $200 less than when I booked it a month ago. I called to see if the current lower price could be honored or if I could receive a credit for the difference. After waiting over an hour on hold I was told there was nothing they could do. It leaves a very disappointing first impression of their customer service.

It was an amazing experience to be so close to the dolphins. It was a bucket list item for sure that we attended to celebrate my 50th birthday. Just a few suggestions: would love it if they would have inner tubes for the lazy river. And while the food was included, it could have been a little better as far as selection. Most things were spicy.
