- D S151 contributionsLoads of restaurants and great entertainment.Lots of different types of cuisine to be had at CityWalk. Walking around is ok during the daytime, but when the parks close it is an absolute nightmare. The crowds are huge, can’t move at times and finding somewhere to eat is almost impossible if you haven’t previously booked. Prices for each restaurant is quite steep as nowhere else to eat. Shuttle boats stop just outside the NBC grill to local hotels. Small stands along the water front for gifts and snacks.Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed our food options throughout Universal CityWalk, I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment with our crowd levels and our pricing. Our goal is to always provide our Guests with a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and i apologize if your visit did not reflect that. Please be assured that your feedback will be documented and shared with the proper teams for review. I hope you got the chance to stop by NBC Sports Grill & Brew for their Large Warm Soft Pretzel! I have lived in the Orlando area for over a decade but have only been a few times. I went today because the theater was playing an old movie that I wanted to see on the big screen. And city walk will reimburse your $26 parking fee with the purchase of 2 movie tickets. Since I had things to get done today after seeing the movie went to the concierge counter before my movie started to get the refund. I waited in line for around 5-10 minutes and when I got to the front of the line around 1145 they told me they can not issue the refund before 12 and since my movie started at 1210 I would have to wait until after the movie. So as soon as I finished the movie a got back in line. Where I waited for close to 30 minutes just to get to the front of the line! That means I spent around 40 minutes of my day just to get my parking validated! And on top of that while I was waiting I watched the employee interact with customers not wearing masks properly and did not say a word about it. Citywalk needs to do better. Very disappointed.

Well if you're going to one of these parks then there's no issue hanging ast city walk. However, this is universals version of Disney springs and yet they charge $26 whether you go to islands of adventure or universal studios or just city walk. This is a big swing and miss

I went to the Hard Rock Live to a concert a few days ago. The charged me $28 just for a parking spot. I remember a few years ago, when the parking was free after 6pm, but I guess those days are long gone. The parking (for only 2 hours) cost me a third of my ticket price. I did not go to any of the 2 amusement parks or restaurants, but you still charged me that amount for the parking? I wonder if they charge that amount the whole year or just at this time when they have the Halloween nights or whatever they call that show. That's what one of the parking attendants told me, but I am not sure if that's true. I won't be back at the City Walk for a long time because of the parking price maybe never. The price they charge (pure greed) is outrageous. If someone stays at the amusement parks all they should not be charged the same like people who stay there 2 hours only. I also did not like long walking lines checking people's belongings. It took some time to go through it. This rating is about the parking situation, but not about the parks, restaurants or something else there.

Wife n I went o city walk. More of a night club place, dancing and drinking clubs. Some good restaurants, prices are a bit high, but expect in places like this. We ate in Bubba Gump’s, the food was excellent. Highly recommend getting there right at 6pm for free parking, ( $25 before 6!) and going straight to where you want to eat. Otherwise expect long wait times for a table. Not near as big a Disney Springs. Prices here for everything are nuts, and the place is really better suited for the night club crowd. I’d go back to DS in a minute, cannot say that about this place.

I’m done with Universal citywalk and their parks. The hassles of going there, and the ridiculous attitudes of the employees (mainly security) is just not worth it.
I took my family on Saturday night to get dinner, and parked in disabled parking. Walking in they make you walk through a serpentine line a very long way for no reason at all because there weren’t many people in the line. Then we get to their security area where we have to remove everything from our pockets, and walk through a metal detector. When I went through it went off, the security guy with the wand sees that the small amount of metal in my belt set it off, but rather than letting me move on he says I have to go back and remove my belt and then walk through again. So what’s the point of the wand? It was obviously the belt, but these people wanted to humiliate me by forcing me to remove some of my clothing in front of tons of people even though the wand already should have cleared me.
Then to add insult to injury, the woman operating the scanner said that the tiny knife on my keychain was not allowed. I could either walk all the way back to my car in the disabled parking lot, or I could surrender it. The knife in question looks like a house key (same size), and it has a tiny 1 inch blade, it was attached to my pill bottle on my key chain; I have it for cutting my pills in half.
After the serpentine line I could barely walk already so I just surrendered the key knife that I can take on planes, and up until today Universal never cared about (I guess they were scared that I could use the tiny blade to hijack the theme park).
After the humiliation and hassle from security we get inside only to find there was no chance we could eat in any of the restaurants anyway because they were crowded and clearly understaffed...
The night before we went to Disney Springs for dinner, I was wearing basically the same clothes but different colors, and the same belt; we walked through the detectors without any hassles at all.
We left Universal tonight and went back to Disney Springs, where despite there being a lot more people we had no issues and the employees are friendly and respectful...
I recommend that you avoid Universal in General and CityWalk in particular. It’s simply not worth the stress, the hassles and the rude employees..
Go to Disney Springs instead, you will always feel welcome and you can actually get food..
The only hope for Universal is if Disney bought it..

Well worth going to have an evening or day out without paying for amusement parks BUT be aware that parking charges are quite high whether you for a day or a few hours. We decided to Uber it and although going there at 7 at the night an Uber only cost us 13.44 dollars, later at night when we left at 10.20, the Uber fare had shot up because drivers are already parked up on the high level of the car park. Return journey for 2 people cost 35.20 dollars, a massive 180% more. Felt really ripped off and considering we only went to look around the site spoiled the brief visit.

We had a blast here and didn’t even know it existed! This was our first time visiting Universal. Parking was perfect here and I would gladly pay the $27 for secure parking to visit the City Walk area. City Walk is full of shops and restaurants and things to do without having to have a ticket to Universal. It’s open late, which is great - when leaving the parks for the night it gives you something to do before leaving. Sadly when we came out of the parks it was raining and we were soaked from head to toe and didn’t get to explore much. We did make a stop to Voodoo Doughnut before exiting. Defiantly can’t wait to come back and explore more.

City walk will always be a pass for me moving forward. Dining reservations are hard to secure for any size party. We purchased slushy alcoholic drinks from Fat Tuesdays and was stopped by security while walking back to our hotel. They stated you are not allowed to bring alcoholic drinks from the parks and/or city walk pass the security checkpoint. We asked to speak to a supervisor to inquire why there are no signs stating this at any of the kiosks inside City walk. It would save a lot of people money and frustration. Save your money and time and go elsewhere.

There are so many great restaurants to choose from. Since it’s right outside both parks - US & IOA - we hang out at City Walk for a couple of hours every night after the parks closed. We really enjoyed The Mexican restaurant! Best margaritas ever! There are also fast food options and Bubba Gump is fun. Our children enjoyed dancing to the background music. Fun times at City walk!

There are lots of bars and restaurants here. City Walk is a gateway to most of the Universal Parking is expensive at around $30 because it is the same parking as the theme parks. Your best bet would be to take a bus if possible.

Hey Lorraine!
You do not need admission to access CityWallk but, depending on the date and time, you would need to pay for parking. At this time, regular parking before 6PM is $27, subject to change. After 6PM, parking is typically complimentary, with the exception of event nights such as Halloween Horror Nights.
