It's been almost a year since we went to Disney World and the only "ride" my 7 yr old is still talking about is the cave on Tom Sawyer Island. I hope Disney doesn't make too many changes to this one. It's one of the...More

I remember loving this when I was a kid. I still like it and think it is good, because like The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse it is very different from the other remaining Disney attractions. Maybe they should redo the Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn...More

After reading questions about crowds and people worried about whether they would enjoy Disney I thought about Tom Sawyer Island. It is a fun place to explore and parents could walk a little slowly and let there kids go in pairs a little bit in...More

We were in between fast passes so we thought we'd make a trip over to Tom Sawyer's Island for a gander. First of all, if you are not able to transfer out of your wheelchair, I don't think you will be able to get on...More

There is some fun exploring on the island. A dark cave and trails. It is worth a bit of a time out. There is a toilet on the island as well. A good place to let the kids run around.

We missed this on the first couple of visits into Magic Kingdom because it closes so much earlier than anything else in the park. That's disappointing as it's something you might want to do later in the day for a bit of a relaxing wander...More

My kids probably would have stayed here all day if they could - taking the raft over was fun, and they loved walking through the woods, exploring the fort, escape tunnel and the huge bridge. There's also a cave to explore. It's a nice chance...More

Visiting Tom Sawyer Island starts with boarding a raft to ride over to the island. Sounds neat and we had about 90 minutes before our Big Thunder Mountain Railroad FastPass so we got in the line. The raft came and they crammed it with as...More

Get the boat over to the island. We had been to Mk a few times before we discovered this. It's a break from the park and a relaxing walk around a small island. There are a few distractions there, but not much. We took a...More
