What a surprise! Great little show and funny ending. Shame they are planning to replace this. Enjoy!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 13 November 2023
- Mike from Rival TownNiagara Falls, Canada927 contributionsCheck this out before Zootopia replaces it!I’m gonna miss this when it’s gone for good….what I won’t miss are the giant spider animatronics that descend from the ceiling (I’m big time arachnophobic), but overall this is a fun, cute attraction. Just make sure your kid won’t freak out at the giant bugs, it can get a little freaky for little ones. It is a tad rundown but this movie will never be outdated to me! Check this out before it’s replaced by Zootopia! It’s located right inside the big Tree of Life.Visited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 December 2023
- Eileen19127 contributionsCuteThis was my first time doing this - I'd been unsure whether I'd be creeped out by it. I wasn't, it was really good. There was no wait to get in (I only had to wait for the previous show to finish). The waiting area is indoors, and there's some funny theming. Then you go into a theater and put on 3D glasses. The show itself is fun and educational at the same time. It was more cute than scary, though some may find it challenging. I recommend stopping in if you have time.Visited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 12 June 2024

This is a short, roughly 10 minute, 4D movie based on A Bug’s Life. Expect to have water sprayed on you, smoke blown in your face, and things poked through your seat.
Overall, it was a nice short movie and a place to sit and rest your feet. We did see some young kids crying during the film as some of the effects scared them a bit. The theater is located under the big tree in Animal Kingdom. The walk from the entrance to the theater was unusually long, but you get nice close-up views of the big tree along the way.

We enjoyed this. It is a 4D experience. Don't be surprised when you feel the bug "stings" etc. It was really neat to see all of the carved animals in the tree of life exhibit as you head into the show. There was virtually no line for this attraction.

We loved this attraction. Located underneath/inside the iconic Tree of Life. It's Tough to be a Bug tells the story of how bugs "feel" about us humans, their importance and "what if" our roles would reversed. Combines 3D tech with animatronics. A great "get out of the sun and heat" attraction.

One of our favorites at Animal Kingdom. A wonderful interactive show that not only makes you look like a bug, but feel like one too! With all of the surprises throughout this show, you are sure to be surprised and squirm a little afterward! You will definitely feel how it is indeed tough to be a bug!

We've been to Disney several times and this is one of our must see stops in Animal Kingdom. Located in the tree of life, it is a good way to see it and the show. 10 minutes of entertaining info on bugs. The special 3-D affects and the interactive injections of smells and touches is really fun and surprising - every time. And, it is a nice place to cool off and relax.

We visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom on March 6th after leaving Pandora we we to the tree of life to watch it’s a bugs life The show is super cute and entertaining. Love the 4d elements like the water, stink bugs the stingers and finally the ending where they have the bugs crawling under you seat. Made me jump and laugh.

Good show but might be a bit much for children under 5. We had a 4-year-old with us who was not too happy. Another person sitting next to us had to remove their child from the theater. Suggestion: Read the other reviews and judge accordingly for your own child. Recommend for all others.
