Our friends and lots of other couples toured the Flagler estate during a rain storm. It was listed as a museum but should be listed as an estate. Beautiful ornate property with some history of Flagler, the railroads and the making of Florida. It is a great way to spend a few hours on a rainy day. Parking is an... More

A great way to send a morning in Palm Springs. The home is a reminder of a sophisticated era in time. We did the self guided tour and it took about an hour and a half. I loved the personalized stories that were available through the listening device. Beautiful art work, furniture and displays. The Flagler train car in the... More

I ordered tickets online for Afternoon Tea and the admission ticket was included in price. Very easy to find, free parking. Three different ways to view museum-with a tour guide in a group, using prerecorded hand held device or at your own pace using guide book. All method are free. I chose the recorded listening device which was very easy... More

Step back in time to the 1880s and Florida's Golden Era when Henry Flagler built his beautiful home in Palm Beach County. His mansion has been beautifully maintained as a museum where today's visitors can see how he and his family lived. There are docent tours available and also audio tours or a visitor may wander at his or her... More

If visiting, join one of the free tours. You will need at least 3 hours to see this attraction. Free parking but you will need to get there early as it is limited.

I am a New England girl who is well acquainted with the "summer cottages" in Newport Rhode Island. This home has a very different feel about it. Yes it is elegant and incredibly well cared for. I was intrigued by my bathroom stop with the lovely hand towels and perfection of care given to that area of the house. Newport... More

Beautiful home and excellent museum explaining Henry Flagler and his role in developing Florida in the 1880s. The audio tour was excellent and lasted about 1.5 hours. I would do that rather than the docent led tour which had a LOT of people in the group.

What a motivating museum. Filled with lots of historical facts. Great views and excellent portraits of a different period of time. Excellent app and description of rooms.

Henry Flagler was a visionary and entrepreneur. His influence in developing Florida is seen from St. Augustine to Key West. Whitehall is remarkable. Tours are well organized. We chose the audio tour so we could explore at our pace. We highly recommend visiting this museum and have lunch at the Breakers seafood bar nearby.

If you like history, railroads, or just giant old houses, this one's for you. Audio tour is helpful and you learn a lot about turn-of-the-century gilded age society.
