If you are visiting Pensacola and love the military history, you have to make a stop at the Veteran's Memorial Park and see the Wall. The closest you can compare to DC.

The entire park is a wonderful tribute to those who gave served and the fallen. Try to visit with a group, the homeless seem to come out of no where. This is normally not a problem if the volunteers are present.

We stopped by the War Memorial and was told this was a shorter version of what is up in DC. Nice walkway with flags and benches honoring each military branch.

The Wall South is part of a larger area known as Veterans' Park. There are several memorial to soldiers of different wars. It's a great place to go and see the sacrifices made for all of us.

The Viet Nam veterans were not treated well and this monument attests to the sacrifice of a generation of patriotic endeavors. It has been 50 years since we lived through this. Let us not forget them and their sacrifice.

Very somber feeling when looking at the wall, makes you not forget the sacrifices made in the name of Political ideology.

Wall South is a humbling remembrance of what these brave men and women did for us, for our country. They gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Wall South is beautifully maintained and inviting to anyone who would like to pay their respects.

Did you now we are the only other city other than DC that has this great wall of our military members that have lost their lives to protect ours!
