Love all the old buildings!

It's so nice to see all the old houses, some in better shape than others. Seeing the plagues for the build date was very informative.

Sits at the other end of the National Sea Shore - opposite of Pensacola Beach. Less tourists but same type of beach. Less crowds and more locals, than at Pensacola Beach which is very crowded on weekends.

Pensacola beach now allows dogs on the beach in restricted areas. While the idea is ok, there is no enforcement of the rules and dogs can be seen up and down the beach off leash and on running amuck. I have seen dogs jump n people, bite people and certainly bark at people to t he point that they are a... More

I've been going to this beach with my family for over 20 years! Each year it is just as wonderful as the time before! You cannot beat the white fluffy sand! There's lots of different places to stay and a great variety of restaurants and activities to do on the island as well.

The beaches and dunes are beautiful in the winter too plus still a good selection of restaurants, grills and bars to pick from. Just happened to be there for their spectacular Mardi Gras parade.

Talk about a stretch of sand! Choose to just sit on a bench overlooking the Gulf, take a walk on the Pier and watch people pull in big fish, sit at a table at one of the restaurants and have a glass of wine, or just lay on the white sand beach. This island has areas where you can be... More

This is an Island that the west end belongs to Escambia Countuy and as every beach on the Emerald Coast is pure white sand. The emerald Green water is what designates the area from Gulf Shores, AL east to Panama City, FL. If you are in lower Eastern USA this is a must see and swim location.

Totally unspoiled area a place to go to get away from the crowded beaches. The sand`s like powder plenty of parking areas along the road with boardwalks on to the beach.

If you are looking for white sandy beaches and blue green waters you will enjoy Santa Rosa Beach. A lot of of it is long stretches of secluded beach without all the condos and bars. You can walk for miles along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico and collect sea shells or just sit on the warm sugary white... More
