Have visited this twice with 2 different dive buddies, over the last 2 years, 4 dives total. Each time the current was pretty tough. With that, and the fact there is no place to 'land' till about 85', I think it best to warn newbies...More

Dove the "Big O" twice. Saw a lot of large fish and got got good photos. The mid column currents can be very strong - be careful.

Good dive for an advance diver. Takes awhile to get there on a calm sea day. Very large ship with very good photo ops.

Had we had been able to see more of this carrier I would have enjoyed my trip more. Three dives out here would be nice.

There are many places to see as a diver in Pensacola but there are two great places to see. The Russian freighter and this. The USS Oriskany is relatively new (3-4 yrs) but a great place to dive especially when the water is perfectly clear.
