We spend our winters in Ponce Inlet, next to Port Orange on the beach. I am a Procter & Gamble retiree, so was surprised to recently find a tie to the original Gamble Family nearby in Port Orange. This was originally a 700 acre parcel...More

Everyone should take a few minutes and experience Gamble Place. It's tucked away in Port Orange along Spruce Creek. There are several acres and some historical structures that are really a treasure for the area.

Located next to Cracker Creek, this is a good history of an old hunting/fishing cottage for the Gamble Family. Not fancy but peaceful Old Florida history.

Little slice of country. You can take canoes & kayaks out for a paddle. Property is nice. They have a fire pit and a covered area to sit and eat.

Off the beaten path, worth the time to find real history about the Port Orange area. Lovely setting, west of I-95, near the famous Spruce Creek Fly-In.
