While this museum purports to be about the Constitutional Convention, there is plenty of other history highlighted. Mostly there are things to read, without a whole lot of displays. As a history buff, I found it very interesting. I would not think most children would...More

Unlike some of the other Florida State Parks, this visit does not involve any exercise. Rather, you walk around some very well done exhibits, outlining not only the history behind Florida's constitution, but some interesting facts about the area's early history. Even the kids will...More

As a native that was taught this in elementary school many moons ago and tried not to fall asleep from boredom; I find it quite interesting as an adult. Too bad we couldn't have had field trips to the location. But it would've taken at...More

We enjoyed our visit. The volunteer was very knowledgeable of the area history. He took time to answer our questions and he pointed out things we might have missed. All in all it was a very pleasant visit.

Driving along the Forgotten Coast, we saw the State signs for the Florida Constitutional Convention site. An interesting collection of items related to early Florida--and docents eager to tell you all about them. Very friendly!

We stumbled upon this park while exploring the Port St. Joe area, not realizing until we read the monument that Florida's constitution was written in this area. The park is very simple, just a large piece of property, lined with very mature trees that lead...More

I visited here with my 4 kids. The ranger absolutely made this visit for us. She really took the time to engage with the kids and verbally explained some of the history of the area. Very educational. I'd recommend about 30-45 minutes for a visit.
