I happened upon this little unassuming place just after returning from a fishing charter. It is obvious that the caretakers are very devoted to their mission of helping injured wildlife. The animals are very well taken care of and the exhibits are well done.

The Center has rehabilitated (or sheltered) injured wildlife for more than a decade. Injured waterfowl; birds-of-prey; mammals; reptiles; are all housed for safekeeping, in an education-friendly environment. A wonderful opportunity to see and learn about 40-50 different species that are indigenous to South Florida. Remarkable!

The 4th graders at Sallie Jones Elementary collected necessities for PRWC and today we delivered 12 bags of goodies. WOW! The staff was so appreciative and the kids still have another week to collect! Good things are happening at PRWC!

This is a small but well-run wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary with knowledgeable volunteers who are enthusiastic about teaching visitors about their animals and their mission. They have mostly birds and a few other animals. They are either permanent residents who could not safely go back to...More

This is a must see if you are a nature lover and are near Punta Gorda. It's not very large, but there are some incredible birds to see. They suggest a donation per person for entry and it's well worth it. You should be sure...More

About 20 minutes by car. Follow Marion Street to the West until it ends at Ponce Park and you are there.
