Thank you for your visit to the historic Villa Zorayda. Built in 1883 the Villa Zorayda was built 5 years before electricity was introduced to the City. The museum is ADA compliant on the first level where 2/3 of the museum collection is on display....More

Our guides were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The museum itself is so unique because of its history and unusual collection. Nice to see it decorated and lit for the holidays.

Lots of interesting history but no pics allowed. It was disappointing to not be able to capture the memories.

Walking in, we get “greeted” by a mousy girl who spoke at the volume of a whisper. Her demeanor made me want to leave immediately. We decided to still give it a shot and the information provided by the audio was scattered. Some exhibits went...More

This is a very historical and interesting museum, but its rather small. I would say you should only go in if you are really, really interested in the history of the Villa.

Today I took a guided tour of this privately owned museum conducted by one of the property owners. Very interesting Moorish designed home with lots of artifacts and furnishings. They also offer audio tours with admission if you aren't able to schedule a guided tour.

Seeing photos, I wanted to see this, however I was disappointed. It is much smaller that I imagined. If your into the Moorrish style - this is for you. Somethings were interesting --- not for younger children - I think they would be bored.

Let’s start with the positive- the house is being maintained and the audio tour is informative. Unusual and interesting art pieces and architectural design fill the building. We approached when the colorful exterior trim was being painted white. Hopefully that is just a primer for...More

Hello Mother_of_5, The Villa Zorayda Museum has had a lively history of 135 years, which I hope that you learned about during your visit to the Museum. The paint colors are in fact as true as possible to the original ones. I am not sure...More
